Yes, it's true that slang can be categorized as jargon, but on searches for 'internet slang' and 'internet jargon', there were some very different results that surfaced. 'Internet slang' can be mostly classified as casually used terms (such as 'lol' and 'brb') used for normal conversation, while internet jargon is mostly classified as terms or abbreviations for things found on the internet (such as 'HTML' and 'browser') which is used for describing things on the internet ( ... )
