If I want to follow all 4 guidelines for the first icon, do both copies of the image have to be flipped, or can one be flipped and one normal (like on the icon I used on this comment)?

Both copies DO NOT have to be flipped. As long as just one is flipped, you're fine :)

Yes it can be ANYTHING as long as it fits the guidelines. :)

I think I wasn't too clear in the instructions, but the main challenge and the bonus icon must be two different icons.

So you have to submit another icon for the bonus challenge :( I'm sorry if I confused you :(

Right it does have different elements but it's a recycled version of your main icon. I meant for both challenges to have separate, distinct submissions.

you still have 9 days till the end of submissions :( so please try to submit another one if you can!

and again, i'm really sorry if i confused you or if i'm being too harsh :(

For some weird reason no link/image is showing up for me...also, does the bonus challenge icon also have to be made from this image?

No the bonus challenge is a separate challenge so it can be anything you want as long as it fits the theme.

Any effect (except animation) can be used for this challenge.

Does that mean the icon for the main challenge can be animated? I didn't see animation prohibited/mentioned in the rules post. lol What does everyone have against animation.

lol since i didnt specifically say no animation for the main challenge, sure you can do it :)

and lol it's cuz not everyone can make animated icons blah blah blah...
