REFERENCE FOR DDD DW MUNS: SERIES 4 MASTER POST.
WARNING: HEAVY, IRREVERENT SPOILERS FOR DOCTOR WHO SERIES 4 UNDER THE CUTS.
YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.
ALSO, THIS THING IS A WIP.
SUMMARY: Ten and Donna are both investigating the same suspicious weight-loss company without realising that they are. Leader of said company is actually an inter-galactic Foster mother who is manufacturing baby Adipose out of human fat using weight-loss pills. Said pills can also convert any tissue into fat if they need to, resulting in death of all fat people in London.
Donna and Ten meet and have awesome Silent Conversation Of D00m inside the company building, are spotted, and promptly have to escape and stop Mrs. Foster from killing all of London's obese with her giant transmitter of a building.
OUTCOME: Foster is stopped, the existing Adipose get to go to their parents, Donna has been searching for Ten for a while, and Donna's granddad is all kinds of awesome. New companion time~!
Also, there's a random Surprise!Rose at the end. MYSTERIOUS~
THINGS TO NOTE FOR DDD: Um, Rose, basically. We may have to work round that/cut it out.
SUMMARY: Ten and Donna wind up in Pompeii on Volcano Day, thinking at first that it's Rome. Until, y'know, they spot the huge smoking volcano. The TARDIS gets sold by a street vendor to some Roman modern-art lover, who has a creepy clairvoyant daughter. Turns out this daughter is training to be a member of a group of creepy clairvoyant priestesses who predict a future with a Pompeii Empire. HMMM~
Donna learns about fixed and unfixed events, Ten makes friends with the younger, surly, teenager stereotype brother of the person, and they find out that the "vapours" that the priestesses are inhaling are actually little bits of Volcano Ash. Donna almost gets sacrificed to the Volcano Spirit and Ten rescues her, discovering that the ash is turning all the priestesses into host for Pyroviles, who want to end the world.
OUTCOME: Um, basically. Ten blows up Vesuvius to foil the Pyroviles' plan. Yes, I was pissed at the writers as well. HOWEVER Donna persuades him to save one family, and that family at least live happily after that.
THINGS TO NOTE FOR DDD: Nothing really. Ten might make a private post for this, IDK.
SUMMARY: Ten takes Donna to a freezing planet called Oodsphere, which surprisingly enough is where the Ood are from. It's also where the base of Ood Operations is, which supplies all the Ood that the Xth Great And Bountiful Human Empire needs. Meanwhile, the high-ups at Ood Operations are having problems with "Red-Eye" and other symptoms of rabid Ood (think what was happening in The Impossible Planet, etc, only without the Devil).
Ten and Donna investigate and find that the Ood aren't so much servants as slaves (Obvious I know, but Ten's never been one for amazing powers of observation). This also involves finding out that natural-born Ood have a hind brain which is cut out to make them "better workers" for the Empire - kind of like a lobotomy. The Ood stage a breakout and keep going on about breaking "The Circle" so that they can sing.
OUTCOME: The Circle turns out to be an energy field of sorts surrounding a giant brain, which acts as literally a hive mind for all the Ood. The Director of Ood Operations is turned into an Ood himself because his own personal Ood helper has been spiking his hair tonic. The Ood are free and not crazy, everyone is happy, and Ood Sigma leaves Ten with an ominous message; Ten's song must end soon...
THINGS TO NOTE FOR DDD: Other than that scary ominous message? Not really.
