after dinner banjo-walk
such a gorgeous night. i put on the banjo and walked to the marsh, playing in all kinds of weird tunings, not just G, but Ab major 7, A dominant 7, Bb 6, C, D 11, and the doubly weird B augmented and C# b5 tunings, finishing the night with G minor and double C. every different tuning brings with it a different sensibility and mood. i sat and played in a bus-shelter for a while, resting my bones on the bench; the glass-enclosed space had a nice small, personal reverberation.
