swimming with the greased watermelon
x and i and adrian and dq and bats joined the sunday afternoon church picnic at wahnekewaning beach.
at first the water seemed chilly, but once we got to playing in it, it was perfect. mike brought out a watermelon which had been oiled so that it was slightly slippy and we played keep-away.
after the watermelon broke, x and i waded out to the farthest sandbar for awhile, then came in for a game of whoever-has-the-football-gets-piled-on-and-dragged-underwater. brutally simple and fun. beats ultimate fighting anyday in my book.
dried off with monkey-in-the-middle-badminton, played on the sand.
man-o-man, thunderstorms can roll in fast! by the time we scrambled back to the car, we was soaked!
once home, x fell asleep, flat on her back, till supper time.
