Day 9~ Traveling ALL the live long Day
So the alarm went off at 4:40am and we were out the door at 5:30am on schedule. I missed getting to the ATM, and the metrolink got in 5 minutes before the bus left. So I hopped on and was glad that I had taken Loren’s Gatorade along with me. It would be 6 hours later until I got food on the train.
Fortunately there are electrical outlets on the train so I can have the computer for movies and typing stuff like this out. A Bart ticket is on sale on the train $10 for the price of $8. Limit one per customer.
My train-mate is a myspacer too. Her bf works for Amtrak and she was visiting her dad for father’s day in Riverside, where Loren works. The guy was out of cheeseburgers (the only real substantial meal on the menu) so I got a pizza and chips, and bought a burrito & chips for later since it won’t be until 4pm for my last stop.
I just finished the horse movie, Ruffian. I bawled like a baby… it was horrifically sad. The most gorgeous horse broke her leg and they had to kill her… I don’t recommend it unless you need a good cry.
Now I am onto another movie from netflix called Shattered where Pierce Brosnan is the bad guy. Very intense. I turned it off. I wanted a feel good movie. So I tried to play Horton hears a Who… and the type of disk it’s on isn’t supported (until I can get a download for quickplay).
Apparently the audio book will play… So I am listening to Ender’s Game, by Orson Scott Card. Much better. Stich is sitting beside me with his grin and paws out. I think I will start taking pictures of Stich in places because it’s hard to take pictures of myself.
The Bus trip after the train took us (Stich & I) past a burning mountain sides and windmill fields. Telling which way is NSEW is horrible. The sun is far north so east & west is hard to tell, let alone N/S.
So I sat at the bus stop until Gwen found out the guy dropped me off at the stop across the street. She took me back to the house where I had my first home cooked meal in a week. Linguini with red sauce, and fried chicken (yummie, thanks Jenni) , and the ice cream truck rolled through the neighborhood and I ran out like a kid for a nutty vanilla cone.
Now I am getting World of Warcraft (WoW) 101 from Gwenny… we did the catchup thing over dinner… and I love that even though it’s been 8 years, it’s like no time has passed. Her kids are considerably bigger than the last time I saw them.
I am tired as crap, but I will be getting up in the AM to go hop on the BART and ride into San Fran tomorrow…
Nighty night…
