Hello. Yes, I'm aware of just how long it's been. I don't care.
I'm sure the knowledge has circulated by now, but it's been one of the weirdest weeks of my life.
He's a lot quieter than I'd been expecting. Not sleeping a whole lot, but we all called that one. A genuine surprise, in every sense of the word.
And the baby's not bad, either.
I'm kidding. Seriously.
Nicholas was born on the 9th. Seven pounds, eight ounces. (I'm not sure why people ever want that information, but there it is.) Nicholas Holden Hampton Bailey. Nick. He's a funny little guy. We're going to have a good time, I think.
This whole thing is a million times easier than I'd ever imagined it would be. (I'd always imagined it to be a nightmare, so small victories, right?)
I've got another week of dictating-from-home, and then this circus heads to New Hampshire.
Life is weird. I finally think I'm starting to like it.
