Three stories:
1. I updated my webpage with my last four fics. My Atlantis fic really should have its own webpage (it's on the Stargate page at the moment). Meh. Can't be bothered.
2. The wingswing is up for the third time since its inception in 2002 (started by My Little Pony lover gatefiction and myself and now expertly handled by our progeny, babylil). It's a West Wing femslash challenge. You pick a character - any character (other fandoms welcome) - and get assigned a West Wing character to pair her with. More fun than the Commonwealth Games! Taking sign-ups now.
3. RECS:
I haven't had much time to read but I wanted to make sure you all read the below.
Lessons (X-Files, Scully/ Betty) by giantessmess. Remember the tattoo from "Never Again?" Well she talks to Scully too. This story is so well conceived. Short but *so* compelling. Give it a try.
Descant (Stargate SG-1, Jack/ Daniel) by destina. A good portion of you will have already read this, if you haven't you really should. It's so damned rare to see such a heartbreakingly real story in fanfic. I loved it for the idea that coming together is a *mountain* sometimes, and you crawl over others to get to the top. And it's painful, and maybe it's not perfect but - far out - sometimes it just has to be done. Worth it. The story and the crawling.
Missionary Position (Stargate Atlantis, Rodney/ John) by trinityofone. Laughed so hard I *cried.* Seriously. Big fucking tears streaming down my face. trinityofone has a solution for the "Allies" predicament that the writers would *never* touch - but makes perfect sense! You really have to read this.
