I feel sunshine...

So, the Multiverse stories are up, up, UP. Crossover craziness abounds. I ended up doing a 'pinch-hit' story for the Multiverse - wrote it in four days (and no one has ever really explained to me what a pinch-hitter is - it's a baseball thing, right?). I think that's a new record for me. It was undoubtably the weirdest pairing I have ever written but I *love* both characters with undying passion so it was almost easy. Almost.

I recommend you read the story written for me. It's Janeway (Voy)/ Weir (Atlantis) and I know some of you will find that *very* appealing (I have a feeling I know the author... I could be wrong because I have been *mightily* wrong before, but I'm giving it a 70% chance. Make that a 99.9% chance. I just remembered something... *g*).

Speaking of writing, the Atlantis epic from hell is finally finished and ready for its first monumental editing effort. There's a few gaps to fill and a *lot* of continuity to fix. I don't know that this happens to anyone else but I'll get to the end of a long story and completely change my mind on events. This story was packed with changes. I think it's going to take some vigilance to catch them all.

I spent a lot of time not knowing how it was going to end too. I have a sneaking feeling that a story always works better if you have an end in mind. This story was very much digging a hole and not figuring out until much later how to to get out. I went through several versions of the ending before getting to one that felt right.

Fuck. My tendencey toward long and plotty stories is giving me headaches. Rustler's Oz AU fun is next, I promise.
