of young blood--that is the song name I am listening to, but nothing to do with this actual livejournal entry.
The general consesus in Ann Arbor amongst my friends is that we need to get out.
Where oh where to go though? This question must be answered before much more is done.
Chicago? I did some serious on-line investigating. There is a 25 maybe to 45 % chance I could get a teaching job here. I would have to take some sort of Illinois board test, but the starting pay is pretty good.
North Carolina? Well, Russ and Ash are there. The prospect of a job is pretty high, but am I really a southern girl? I am not even really hospitable.
A lady at work today told me she could probably get me a job at a boarding school in New York. Not the city. I would live in a dorm. My closest companions would be 15 year old girls and other teachers. Not so sure?
They are doing buy outs in some areas of Michigan, but not sure if I can stay. The point I suppose is to leave. there is a huge drive for this, and I can't exactly say why. Except for the stirring, and lack of stirring in some areas, that slowly drives me nutty.
Don't get me wrong, I took a wonderful walk in the light snow and sun today. It rejuvinated me at least for the evening. Listening to my ipod and walking down side streets, through parks and parking lots is the highlight of my day so far. Although, Ryan and Wendi are on their way here to see Rob's play and have some dinner. I am sure there will be more peaks.
