I had a friend named Rhonda, she was really smart and good at art in high school. She flunked out of University, took welding at CONA and now probably makes lots of money. And here I am, building up debt. But then, how many university courses offer real-life applications? I dunno. But I'm not giving up my dream for a dull, practical job,and neither should you.
Yeah university is built on the behavorist methods of teaching with the lectures and things and no practical applications. Doesn't prepare us at all 4 life a lot of the time. And just b cause p pl go 2 colleges, doesn't mean they have dull, practical jobs...a digital animation job would have been pretty kewl and most p pl like the things they're doing...
I'm just remembering my near miss of becoming a secretary. *shudders* My parents wouldn't let me go to art school after high school, so I took bookkeeping and word processing. But, of course, I eventually learned art at CONA in S'ville.
Nothing if thats what u wanna do. But Janet obviously doesn't so that's whats wrong with being a secretary 4 her. :P As long as your happy doing what your doing.
If you're suited to the career of secretary, fine. But put someone whose life would become a stagnant shell into this position and they would never grow to become an artist. Besides, I wouldn't have met vous.
Crazy. I can't imagine u as a secretary. That would b dull. I think as long as p pl make their own choices and do what they want 2 do 2 make them happy, it doesn't matter where they go 2 do it.
