the grand finale

so, last journal entry ever. what to say, what to say?

well hey i know. i can tell you about my amazing day in gulf port at the gulf island water park! yeah!

a little background info is needed before i begin the tale of the day's adventures. so originally we were supposed to spend two days and a night in gulf shores with all the girls as a "hey-we're-all-going-to-college-so-vamos-a-la-playa!" kind of thing. but alot of silly stuff happened and it ended up falling through so to compensate, we decided to go to a water park and i thought that going to this newer and more fun looking one in gulfport would be a grand idea.

so i guess the day started when a certain somebody (who shall remain nameless of course) decided not to tell anyone except byrd that she wouldn't be coming with us and therefore leaving 7 girls to fit in my 5 seater car. so after we figured out that hope (oops did i let that slip? my bad) wouldn't show up, we kinda forced emi to drive (sorry emz) and then we set off. so about an hour and a few wrong turns later, we finally get to the gulf island water park! and immediately see that perhaps blue bayou would have been the smarter...although slightly dirtier...choice. it was too late to turn back though and we decided to just try to make the best of this rather small and unexciting looking park. we walk in and stake out some chairs and begin to ride rides. well after about two hours of pretending to be terrified on a few rides and waiting in lines far too long and being hit on by hicks and thinking we were being robbed, we decided it was time for some food. now anyone that has ever been to a theme park (or in our case, an unthemed park) knows that food prices are ridiculously high for less than satisfactory food so we decided to leave and return to the park after we were properly fed. we arrive at arbys and jen claimed a booth for us while the rest of us waited in line. suddenly i get a text message that read "dude all the ppl in here are deaf". i look around and sure enough, jen was right. everyone was frantically waving their hands around and there wasn't a sound to be heard. when met up with everyone that went to canes they confirmed that people there were deaf also and we decided there must be a convention or something...although, as anna wondered, "how did they hear about it?". the deaf people were the least of our worries however. once we met back up with the canes goers, we discovered that we shouldn't have left them to fend for themselves for so long. for while we were apart, emi had locked her keys in her car along with everyone's cell phones and wallets. they had already called a pop-a-lock by the time we got there that was due in 30 minutes. we waited patiently in the parking lot scheming how to scam the hopefully old and horny or young and...well horny, pop-a-lock man into popping emi's trunk for free. emi strategically positioned all of us on beach towels (in the middle of the parking lot) in various sexy poses in hopes of distracting the man and got very angry on a few occasions when we would wander off for drinks saying "hurry back yall, $45 is alot and i need more naked girls!". however once he finally arrived, he was unfortunately a she and even more unfortunately not a lesbian. all our planning had been a waste. we finally were able back into the park though and decided to forge the lazy river a couple of times. and then a couple more times because byrd and i are spanish and she was our troop leader and i was the navigator so everyone had to listen to us. and that was perhaps the most fun part of the whole trip. oh besides coming home to mandeville and the thought of never going back to gulf islands water park again.

and with the end of that adventure, so comes the end of my livejournal. i hope everyone enjoyed it over the past couple of years, i know i did.
