Old enough to teach you a lesson or two! So we are having a wonderful day at Hershey and we are standing in line next to this group of kids. Well the one is trying desperately to look "cool" and he is smoking and leaning on the bars as we wait. Did I mention he was 12? He turns to Rob and asks "Is me doing this bothering you, sir?", sir! He tried to make conversation like a big boy asking Rob where we were from and commenting on how "one of his ex's" lived in Baltimore. How many out of state ex's can a 5 year old have? He was so pathetic but it get's better because he leans over in his "coolness" a little later and asks Rob what grade I was in! WTF? I know I look young but do I really look that young? Rob told him that I was out of school and he tried to play it off before he tucked his tail between his legs and try his best to butt infront of people and make his way through the line. I think this will forever be in our mines whenever we go to Hershey.
Overall the trip was amazing. It was the best time I think we have ever had. We stayed all day and rode everything and it was just great. It was nice to get the family meeting stuff out of the way. I'm sure the talking has already begun. The day started off great seeing the astounded look on his father's face as he trotted into the park to find his family waiting. I think for me, it was just an amazing look into this family. It was nice to be introduced as his girlfriend and for him to put on this whole very casual production of letting his siblings know we are serious or something I guess. I loved him holding my hand. I know it sounds stupid but it was just the act of him holding my hand through the park when we were away from his family that made me feel as though he was ok with everything.
This was a great weekend and I hope that things can just continue to be this way, forever would be nice. My little production last night was a bit much and for that I am sorry babe. I just need to keep my thoughts and opinions to myself and it was wrong for me to try to get you to do something new, sorry.
As for now I am off to do some writing and then get ready for work. Hopefully I will be able to get rid of this headache the dog gave me and enjoy my day at work, haha.
