wow. okay. so i got home at 1am from work. it was a long, strange day to say the least, i was still a bit jittery from things that happened a bit before work and it was a busy friday at the restaurant when i did get there. anyway, i get home to find that the guy that moved into the downstairs of our house like, 2 days ago is having a party, complete with loud music, a keg, and all the random sketchy-ass kids from our school that he could find apparently. did i mention that they are kindof the dregs of lc society? whatever, it's friday night, i have to go to work in the morning, but i can deal. then i found out that not only are they lighting up (hey, whatev), a few are doing lines. not even life with the jerry last summer could prepare me for that. fabulous... at least i've chilled out a HELL of a lot in the past year and a half and i can totally pretend i'm not wishing they would all get the hell out of my house. i feel really bad for my friend becky who just got in last night from living in germany for a year and is probably trying to sleep right now. either her jet lag is doing her a favor and letting her sleep, or she is HATING me right now for telling her she could stay with me for a week. none of it's really a big deal, but it was such a LONG day, i just want to crash, and it would be a much better party if there were cool people here. sigh. am i unreasonable? i didn't sign up for this.
all i know is:
-german chocolate is a-mazing. danke, becky!!!
-heck yes for portland and it's ability to turn even the poorest college student into a beersnob... getting a drink at a keg party and having it turn out to be a microbrew is possibly the most awesome thing ever. even if i did expect to be able to go to bed when i got home from work.
AND: it is definately NOT my turn to clean the bathroom.
♥
p.s. i wish you were here to have a drink with me...
