I'm embarrassed to admit that when I saw Blaine on Glee I didn't connect the actor to being the same guy from AVPM. I did think that he looked familiar, but in the end I chalked it up to his appearance and mannerisms when performing reminding me of Brendon Urie. So I totally second what Ginger said above, but all-in-all it was fangirl failure.
That being said, holy crap. I thought I was in love before, but that revelation plus the interviews you link has caused my heart to swell to bursting for this guy. He just wants Kurt to be happy! Ugh... How so awesome?
I was initially disappointed about the Sam thing also (guh, his mouth), but this is even better! Plus Darren has a hot mouth too!
Basically, I totally support your new obsession. I have to admit I'm always of two minds when it comes to canon media pairings though. Because on the one hand I want so badly for Kurt's character to be completely happy and fulfilled in the show. On the other hand, unless they throw in some conflict for the twosome I don't know that my interest in fic about them would have much longevity.
I feel like, for me, interest in reading fic about a media pairing often (though not always) stems from some sort of dissatisfaction with the way the pairing is handled canonically. Even if that just comes down to wanting to see certain things elaborated on or certain scenarios played out differently or from someone else's point of view.
So it's a bit of a conundrum, because on the one hand I hope that Glee totally satisfies me, but on the other hand, it would be fun to have an OTP from the show that I could really get into fanfic about. /o\ I also realize that this is way too early into the inception of Blaine to even be considering this sort of thing.
ANYWAY... sorry for the OT rambling. In the meantime I will hie myself hence to your delicious page to roll around in the precious, fluffy goodness.

I don't think I would've recognized Darren either had I not already heard through the fannish grapevine that the guy from AVPM was going to be on glee. (The fangirl network is a force to be reckoned with, after all. We know all, lol)
Oh, Sam's mouth! And his abs! Yes it is quite sad but I choose to believe that he's secretly bisexual and totally Blaine's ex. I mean I seriously doubt they'd actually go there but it would be so perfect! He said a few eps back that he came from an all-boys private school and if he's bi, then saying he's not gay is still totally legit. *is completely delusional* Sam/Blaine/Kurt threesomes are welcome too.
I understand your trepidation, bb. Canon pairings are always less interesting in fic. I mean, just consider how few established relationship fics there are in most fandoms. The getting the characters together part is usually the most fun.
This being Glee, though, I don't think we need to fear that the writers will do such a good job there won't be any place for us to fill in with fic. The writing on this show is so inconsistent and routinely fails at taking the story were I feel it ought to be going. (Consider how they totally fucked up Mercedes' junk food rebellion plot in this last episode. Could've been great. Instead it was so awful I can't even.) I'm hoping for the best, obviously, but kind of fearing the worst. Which sucks because, yeah, I too would really love to see it play out perfectly on my screen.
Anyhow, it sounds as though Ryan Murphy wants to keep Blaine in the "mentor" role for the time being, so we should have at least a few episodes more of delicious UST to fuel what's so far some pretty awesome fic. (And I was worried about that at first because most of the fic I've seen in the Glee fandom before this has been pretty mediocre, lol)
