A revolution is the solution

God, I love how fandom doesn't mince words, doesn't pretend not to be a bunch of pervy perverts who care as much about sex as we do anything else. We treat most warnings for kinky, debauched acts in fic as enticing advertisements. We say things like "Get in me" in response to picspams of hot, half-naked boys (and girls).

These aren't new observations, of course, but it strikes me every once in a while how unique an environment we've created here for ourselves and how lucky we are to have it. Nowhere do I feel more sexually liberated, more feminist, more free to explore whatever I might want.

Fandom, man. Fuck yeah.

On a mostly unrelated note, if you've at all been keeping track of my Delicious lately you've probably seen that I've been on a massive Merlin kick. As you might imagine, this has not exactly been conducive to me getting my fic done for the deancasbigbang. I keep trying to get back in a Supernatural head space like I was when I started the fic - I was reading Good Omens at the time, which helped immensely as you might imagine - but it's been to no avail.

So, how do you guys do it? Those of you who are poly-fannish (i.e. involved in more than one fandom at a time), how do you stay on-task and in-fandom while writing a fic? I could really use the advise.

philosophical ramblings, supernatural is my new obsession
