Quasi-cheating

So here I am at approximately 1230 on a Sunday night realizing that I should be writing the essay for my 1000 class that was actually due Friday morning. I have no idea what to write about nor do I have the desire to write said paper. I would just skip it, but it's such a significant portion of my grade that not completing the assignment would probably land me a D in the class. Not the best way to be spending my money.

So I pose a question, is it bad that I'm considering sifting through old papers I've saved from high school to find one to use as a fill-in?

I mean, the class seems like high school to me anyway. And I would definitely revise a bit, but on a scale of 1-10, how bad is it that I would be so scandalous? Hell, it's Early American Literature... I could just grab some bit I wrote about Hawthorne and throw it in there. Hell, it could totally work.

What do you think? Should I give it a shot, or postpone turning in my already late paper until Wednesday and actually write something new? Please also note that I have several other assignments for various classes that I must be completing this week...

*EDIT: Nevermind... It seems that the box which would have said sorts of essays is not currently in my possession but that of my parents (in Farmington). Guess I'm out of luck on this one. I'll write something by Wednesday. God knows my irresponsible self probably won't even manage to wake up in time for class tomorrow anyhow.

**EDIT: The essay is actually due next Monday, which gives me hope. At this point, I'm actually ahead of schedule!
