So I was in London yesterday seeing Steve live in the Halfmoon :)
There was some bad stuff before I went up to London, which resulted in me having about 3 hours of sleep but I'm not going to talk about that :)
I will admit to having a lot of reservations because it was London and I was very much out of my comfort zone, but I had fun. Could have done without the killing ache in my knees and feet and the annoying fans who were like... several feet taller and insisted on standing in front of me and
estel_willow but in spite of all of that I had a good time. Steve was... incredible, like I thought he would be. I have his new album and it's brilliant.
The train up to London was delayed due to some stupid kids playing on the line -_- Only in Leicester, I swear to God.
estel_willow met me at St Pancras and we successfully navigated the London Underground to get to our hotel, which was quite nice. We had a cozy room and we had enough space to get ready for the concert. The walk, however, to meet up with everybody else was... longggggggg and I could have done without it but we did it and it was worth it, definitely.
Didn't meet him but I don't really care. I enjoyed his set, I enjoyed the company I had and the fact I was feeling good about myself. Yay for being checked out! I'm such a dork -_- Turns out I'm not as bad at this makeup thing as I thought >.>
As much fun as it was I am very glad to be home.
Gadget missed me, apparently. He was all quiet and squeaky and hasn't let me out of his sight all day. Very cute.
I have about 4 days off work and I think I'm going to enjoy the weather as much as I can because who knows when we'll get sun again.
Next week will suck.
Seriously.
Bright side: They've found somebody for my job and the bank received my contract!
