There are no fairy tales. I use to believe in them until I realized that they were mainly composed of a very simplistic plot manufactured to showcase moral righteousness, wherein an unethical hag is rolled down a hill inside a spikey barrel, usually into a river for good measure. The happy ending with the protagonists is universally lacking in resolution and everyone seems to go away unimpeded by the massively fucked up thing that just happened, but it's obvious there is a healthy dose of minutae that goes without mention and is kept secretive but maybe just implied a tiny bit.
It's sort of like Catholicism, I suppose.
