Must Blog about Renaissance Faire

But I'm working. Suffice it to say, for now, that I had a wonderful weekend, with wonderful people. A whole crowd of Marylanders came up for one or both days, and it was great to see a lot of the old New York crowd again ( Read more... )

Now that you say it, I think I like it as a title.

From now on, I am The Prodigal Rogue. Because whichever faire I go to, I am always returning home to my family.

Yes, I know what prodigal actually means. The irony only strengthens my determination

Seconded -- The Prodigal Rogue, in my opinion, is just an *awesome* title for you. :-)

Ah, it *is* that time of year again, isn't it? Huzzah! :-)

Two friends of mine -- both formerly of Revel Grove -- are planning to road-trip tag-team back from Ann Arbor for MDRF closing weekend, and invited me to join them. I'm *sorely* tempted. Except, considering that even scientific and professional meetings fail to classify as acceptable reasons to miss days on rotation (some key members of faculty here are legendarily old-school and still miffed about things like the new restrictions of work hours to a mere 88 / week), I'm pretty sure Last Weekend at Faire wouldn't count, either...

I know K Dopita does it, but, frankly, I'd rather give my money to the Foundry, iff they do single-order custom pins (I vaguely remember them only doing orders of, like, thirty or more, or something like that).

I'll be honest, though--the pin I'm picturing in my head, right now, is a K Dopita pin.

::smiles:: I've given quite a bit of change to K Dopita over the last few seasons. This year will debut my new, more period "Llama's Kitten" pewter tag/pendant.
