Yay!
Well, yesterday was great!!
Was up increadably early, as usual. As some people can attest too. Headed downtown early, cause I needed to go bra shopping. (thrill).
Anyways, eventually I did haul my ass out to catch the bus to the Park. Get to Carls, chat. Help water plants. Wiat for phone calls. -Finally- Tim and Bryon call us. We're figuring, usual day, right? Wrong! Turns out Bryon's got 4 free passes to Klondike Days! So, rather then the usual, we went to cruise K-Days. Yay! Since Tim and Bryon are still in the city, the plan is to meet them at North Gate rather then do something more complicated. So we drive up and catch the LRT to the fair grounds. After they tell us that -they- have determined one of us requires a cell phone (ha!) we head in.
It was great! We're not really ride people, so that wasn't an option, though they did take great enjoyment in bothering me all day about the rides. Me? Leave the ground? Uh.. no. Played some games. Won a stuffed Dragon!! Tis purple. I am naming it Manny. Oddly, Bryon won one as well and then Carl did. Green and Red respectively. That was amusing.
The Royal Canadian Mounted Police where there and did the Musical Ride! Now that was cool! We even managed, at one point in our warndersing, to find the stables and visit the horses. For the most part we just.. wandered. A lot. Tim, of course, had to leave to go to work rather early. The rest of us decieded to stick around for the fireworks (namely because of me).
We did manage this. I ache a lot now. Was wearing way the wrong shoes. I think I pulled a leg muscle. I am very happy. Managed to buy a little japanese fan and a cowboy hat, too!
Needless to say, was a very good day.
