Thanks for the warm thoughts everyone!
Arrived at the hospital, had consult with surgeon, who advises that, no, I will not need emergency surgery TODAY, instead I'll be on the semi-urgent list to be done in the near future. A month is the current time line.
In the mean time, I must eat low-fat and minimum amounts of dairy to keep another 'attack' from occuring, because those 'attacks' are my gallbladder contracting on the stones or something. I guess. Well, to the best of my understanding, anyways.
In the mean time, I go on a diet. Wee.
The apparent rush to surgery seems to be due to a mild bit of miscommunication between the surgeon and my doc's office. MY doctor was under the impression I would be in today. Instead, it was more like an emergency consultation to see IF I needed surgery ASAP. I guess I'm fortunate that I don't and I'm in no immediate danger. On the bright side, I know whats causing the problem, and I won't screw around if it gets worse.
There's always a silver lining, if you look for it, even if it IS very very thin. :D
