Yay for updates.
At least I didn't let a whole month pass by this time...
Spent the weekend at the Dad's. It was fun, but exhausting, as usual. I adore my Dad, but I can really tell that he's having problems. The 'Fred in his Head' has done a real number on him. As far as I can tell, it's pretty much completely destroyed his ability to learn, or almost anyway. I don't just have to explain stuff every once in a while now, instead I have to repeat things four or five different ways, over and over again, the whole time I'm there. Also, those logicall connecting-of-the-dots things that are a process of learning seem to elude him quite often. I think it's way more frustrating for him, because he can TELL that it's happening, but there's not a damn thing he can do about it. Also, I mean, he's really damn smart, and this thing is like a leech on his brain. Besides, who doesn't get upset at the thought of something effecting their mind? Anyway, hopefully it'll be a while before I have to help him out again - and hopefully he won't be inundated with bad information in the mean time. :|
Went out with dragon_dancer30 and Sil last night to a Concert. It was Megadeth opening for Heaven and Hell (aka Black Sabbath). It was really really good. :) Also kinda like getting hit in the back of the head by my teen years all over again. O.o Uhm, yeah, and Rexall really needs to work on their security, because despite the pat-down policy they had in effect last night, three quarters of the people were getting higher than kites. Hell, I think if we had been there much longer, WE would have been high just from all the smoke! Wich reminds me, I need to wash my coat so it stops reeking of pot. Yuck. After going, I'm kind of hoping the plans, or whatever, go through to either upgrade Rexall or create a whole new venue, because MAN is that place uncomfortable. After a while, it was kind of hard to focus on the band in favor of the fact that my leg was attempting to cramp up, since I couldn't really move it. :P On the bright side, the bands where so good I didn't totally mind - ya know, until later, when I actually HAD to move. Hee. Anyway, so it was fun, and I finally got to meet Sil and I no longer am forced to picture a small female of the Heroic persasion when he is mention. o.O Cuz that was kind disturbing.
On the work front, I have this job, for sure, until the end of April, so there's still some time on the whole contract extension end of things. If they don't extend it, it's no skin off my nose. Maybe I'll get lucky and get a weeks break inbetween jobs. :D I could stand to have a bit of a holiday, hang around the house in my PJ's, sleep in - that sort of thing. Ooo, and maybe I'll get extra lucky and they'll find me a job on THIS side of town! >_< Anyway, I'm not spazzing about it. I am rather looking forward to getting experience in different things - and since I applied for the F/T position with them, the roomies can't bitch about 'stability' - so I look good too. :P Hee.
Uhm. I think thats it. Things have been so quiet lately it's not even funny! Oh, I think the only thing happening is a possible change in our Saturday gaming, in that malkoten has offered to run a campaign. I'm increadibly fond of the Swashbuckler class. o.O Looks like so much fun - though I'm not sure how well I can pull the personality thing off! Other than that, I'm considering a Druid and possibly something else - Psionisct at one point - but I was only half-assed interested in that, so maybe a .. I dunno. Something. I gots lots of time. :D I wonder if there is cat people... ;)
So, thats it. Probably speak at you all next time I actually have something of interst to say - and hopefully that won't a month or more from now. :D
