Reparations Artpost!
So, for the Sabriel Mini-Big-Bangy thing, I've had the honour of working with jennytork on her lovely fic 'Reparations'!
I can't really hope to do it justice - especially considering my atrocious organisational skills, for which I'm sure she and the mods can vouch - but, well, here's an effort:
(By the way - these show up fine and without breaking anything or being awful on my computer, but if they don't on yours, I'm really sorry - drop me a note and I will try (and most likely fail) to put it right)
On the wall behind the Trickster, lit by the flashes, unfurled the shadow of four massive --- wings. Two arched up and up and up, nearly twice the height of the slender young man. The other arched downward like the bottom wings of a butterfly, though the outline of feathers was clearly visible on the ends.
Sam let out a sound midway between a yell and a sob, untangling himself at last from the bedsheets
Suddenly, a second Sam stood there, down to the antipossession tattoo on his bare chest and the black trackpants he'd been wearing. Gabriel dragged large hands through chestnut hair, rumpling it as if he'd just woken up. He created a duplicate of Dean's amulet and let it drape around his neck.
And he waited for the knock on the door.
Castiel smiled up at him and asked, "Do you have room for two more?"
"Two?" Sam looked past her -- just as a tired-looking Dean walked around the corner. "Oh, G-d!" he sobbed, rushing into the hallway and grabbing his brother.
Dean was warm. Solid. Alive.
These are also around in bigger sizes on Photobucket, if anyone wants a link |D Oh. And before I forget - the textures used are all PSP8 defaults, aaand the doors in the last one are copy&pasted from Google :T
