re: mark remarks

After talking to several friends about the possibility of another tattoo (not now, but later), I found their comments to be very widespread. No two friends had the same thing to say. Their comments are listed here (from memory, not word for word).

The idea: on the back of my left shoulder, covering or somehow incorporating my ugly scar, a bear claw print. Represents my growing up in the woods, California, and a general lifelong love for bears (NOT panda bears).

Blondie: You should get an entire bear sticking his paw up like he's giving you a high five.
LC: That's so cute. I support this addiction.
Wes: Girls are supposed to get small, cute or aquatic animals. Bear claws aren't feminine. [What if a guy got a bear claw, Wes?] That'd be gay.
E: You should wait a month. [This is funny because I was planning to wait at least a year.]
Alys: California pride!
Nate: Bears have seven toes. [Focus, Nate.] Dont cover your scar. Scars tell a story; they're unique and natural. I like things that are unique and natural.
Shell: Everyone I know who is covered in tattoos is also financially irresponsible.
Ben: You should just get another lily. There. I said it.
