There are some amazing-looking fruit and cheese platters laid out at work right now, along with some very funny bright pink "sparkling liqueur" - all in honor of 9/11. I kid you not. There's some event tonight called ShopCrawl, which has in some way to do with terrorist attacks. Sales on all terrorism-related items (if you can make a bomb out of it, it's 30% off!), free "Two Towers" shots, and if you get here early enough, an exploding airplane-shaped cake!
Not really, but it would make more sense than shopping for terrorism in an eco-friendly coffeeshop. Whatever. All I know is that there are some enormous grapes laid out on the table, this delicious cheese called Cotswold (a cheddar-like flavor with onion and chive, for just the slightest, ever-so-satisfying crunch), fresh figs and dates, and it's all FREE. So come out and eat it before I do.
