ugh

Hot damn, I hate piping seams. I wouldn't do it if it wasn't such a thing mid-19th century, damn them.

I got all the pieces basted together in good time yesterday, but then realized I only had about two feet of piping left over from making the day bodice. Dammit. SO I had to cut more widdle itty-bitty strips of bias (I refuse to waste an uncut piece of fabric on piping when there are scraps to use), piece them together, make the piping, and then start basting it to the bodice. Which is as far as I got.

Today I did get the pieces sewn together except for the shoulder seams - I want to baste those and try it on again before sewing them. We'll see if I can get that done before work.

Oh also: yesterday I finished the center fronts, so I can sew fastenings on and then fit the darts, and managed to do the overlap left over right instead of right over left. LOL OOPSIE. Would have to cut new fronts to fix that, so it's not happening.
