Some people wait a lifetime...

First off, Happy Birthday Kelly! She's 23 now.

I split my review up into sections in case you don't want to read the entire thing. I tried to write a lot just for my benefit to remember.

Before the concert

We didn't end up leaving until about 4 p.m. and finally we arrived. We parked at a parking garage near the Boston Common so we had a little bit to walk. Once we finally figured out the correct way to get there, We hit the little alley where the Orpheum is. I saw the Boston Posse and just basically took off running with my very loud flip flops. I'm sure that everyone that I was such a loser! It was cool getting to meet everyone.

We saw a couple of the band members going to and from the bus like Al. We made sure to say hi to them. Michelle and I got information that we were not allowed to bring in cameras and signs. This meant she had to put hers back and I had to figure out a way to hide my camera. I was asking the Boston Posse if anyone had a pocket where they could sneak my camera in. Turns out that Chellie and Dee's dad did so he took my camera.

My purse never ended up getting checked when we went in. After Michelle picked up her M&G pass, We headed to the merchandise table. We went to the smaller one first where we got our poster and glowsticks. I still needed to meet up with Shully so that I could obtain my M&G pass, but I figured that in time I would find her. Ended up near the back of the merchandise line for the tour book, so I gave Dee and Chellie my money so that they could buy it for me. I saw Jason (Her brother) coming back from the small merchandise table, but I didn't say anything. I saw Rick from the Express and he had Shully's number, so I took that so I could try and contact her later.

I felt wicked bad since I had tried to call and gave Michelle my stuff so I could dial. I look and she's like in the middle of the crowd of people with all my stuff. I wanted to try and get it back from her, but she was too far away. I felt SO bad! Finally once she got her stuff, We headed to our seats just to be able to see how close we were going to be. We had 2nd row, so it was amazing. Turns out that I was sitting right next to Chellie and Dee. They had mixed up their seat numbers with RI, so we really were sitting next to each other! That was so freaking cool!

I headed to the bathroom with them and I saw Shully and the rest of the Express members on the way. I got my M&G pass and started flipping out. I called Michelle, while I was waiting in line to go to the bathroom and I was talking so dang loud. I was like "OMG I'm so sorry everyone! I'm just excited!".

Opening Act

Graham Colton Band was good. I enjoyed them a lot more than The Beu Sisters last time. One of the guitar players threw his guitar pick and it hit me, so I kept it after taking forever to find it. I thought it was kinda cool, another thing to remember from the show. I almost started crying when they came out just thinking about how close Kelly was going to be. It was incredible!

Break in between

Finally their set was over, and it was time to wait for the lovely 30 minutes while Kelly's set was being set up. We saw Ashley, One of Kelly's best friends and said hi. She waved and stuff. Michelle had a bracelet that she made for her which she ended up being able to give to her when she came back out on the stage. She came over and got it. It was cool. We also saw Jason getting onto the stage right next to us. We said hi to him too, he waved quickly and was on his way. We all felt the need to sing the songs they were playing during the break. It was quite interesting. We probably annoyed the hell out of the people around us.

The people behind us were Kelly fans but didn't know as much as we did. They would ask us questions of who we were talking to when we'd yell out someone's name. They seemed really cool. I felt all smart. Finally the lights went off and she came walking onto the stage with her back towards us.

Concert

I was freaking out. I mean she was right there! It took forever for her to turn around and for Since U Been Gone to start. It was well worth it. Her voice was awesome and she looked awesome. I was able to take one picture before the security guard yelled at me. It just seemed to fly by and it was so amazing when she was right in front of me singing. I mean I could have just reached out and touched her if I really wanted to.

We all kept screaming "We love you Kelly" and jumping up and down with our glowsticks. We just rocked out and it was awesome. She told us that we were loud! I was like OMG! During Addicted she touched our hands. I was like OMG, I'm never washing my right hand! It was so cool. I just kept thinking to myself, I'm going to meet her!!

She screwed up the words during Miss Independent, but what kind of show would it be if she didn't. She was like "It took some time to realize, I forgot my own words la la la la". It was great. She also had a little ADD moment. "There's like fuzz flying around in the air right here. I've been seeing it the whole time. Yup, ADD I'm sorry."

She just sounded amazing overall. It's something that I will never forget. I just can't believe that I saw her live and that close. It's just AHHHH!

Meet and Greet

So after the show ended unfortunately, It was time to get ourselves to the meet and greet. They had us sit near the back of the theatre in rows. They told us the rules and said that the radio station contest winners were going in first.

Rick had already started making fun of me since I tripped going into the row and fell coming out of the row. Yeah, There was a step that I didn't really see. We had moved from our previous spots. Our throats were so dry from jumping around and screaming. Michelle called her mom and asked her to bring drinks and stuff with them for us. She said "Our throat is killing us" and Rick made fun of her for that weird grammar wording.

We looked up and saw Jason. We felt the need to say hi and he said hi back. He then just kept staring at us. I was like "OMG, It's Jason!". He was up in the upper level part where Kelly was. It was like an oval thing so we could see the people waiting to meet her.

Jason came down the stairs and we saw him again and said hi. We basically felt the need to say hi to him everytime that we saw him. He's cool. Finally, It was our turn to go up the stairs. I was in the beginning of the row and I was like OMG I'm not going first! We all jumped to the back of the line and were just like She's standing rigt there! I can still picture standing in line and watching her interact with the other fans.

Saw Jason on the other side of the oval thing and was like "Hi Jason!". He made the "Shh" motion to me, so for some odd reason I did it back. I'm not quite sure why, but it's all good. I saw Kelly talking to a little girl and OMG, She's going to be an amazing parent. It was so adorable. She got down right next to her when they took the picture.

I started getting really nervous and I just couldn't believe that she was right there. I also started to worry about where I was going to put all my stuff that I was carrying when I met her. I asked her tour manager and he said that when we got closer, he would take our stuff for us. I thought that was really nice of him.

I saw Greg got up and meet her and for some reason he told her that he was married to Dee. Wow, Interesting thing to tell her. She was probably like "Umm.. Okay". I dont really remember her reaction when he told her. The twins both got hugging pictures with her and I thought that was really cool. She's so sweet.

Finally, It was almost my turn. I gave my stuff to the tour manager and had to write my name down on the notepad, so she would spell our names right. She wasn't supposed to be talking, but she did whisper. I was like shaking and I think that I was either talking to her tour manager or Trey saying that I couldn't write. Finally, I was able to write it, Thank god it's not long to write. I asked if he was able to read it and he said he could. I asked him like twice just to be on the safe side.

It was my turn and I was so freaked out. I went over and was like "Hi I'm Mandie" and she was like "Hi Mandie". I was thinking to myself "OMG, She just said my name!" I just blurted out "OMG, You're real". I think she kinda noticed I was nervous lol. I don't really remember if she kinda laughed at that, but I then gave her the puzzle piece from the Express. She said that she thought that she knew what I was. I said "Cool". Wow, Such a smooth thing to say. She started signing my poster and I just watched her do it. I just started saying that I loved her and that the concert was amazing. She stopped signing for a sec, looked up and said "Thank you" then continued. It was then time to take the picture and I asked if we could have a hugging one and she said sure. When I was taking the picture with her, I was thinking "OMG My body is touching her boob". Yes, I know real mature. I just couldn't believe that I was hugging the one and only Kelly Clarkson.

I then went back to get my poster and she just started rolling it up for me. Yes, She has touched my entire poster now. I just watched her do it and was thinking "OMG, I was gonna do that, but sure you can!". I was just like "Thanks" and then I was like "Bye" when she was done and left.

Michelle and I were just flipping out walking down to where our rents were. I was so ecstatic. I can't believe that I met her. She is just so tiny and beautiful. I'm seriously like the happiest person alive right now.
