First Crush

Logan slumped back against the worn sofa cushion, arms crossed by his chest and a permanent scowl embedded into the formation of his lips. His boyfriend Kendall simply stared.

“Watch and wait.” Logan grumbled out, and Kendall assumed he was speaking to him being the only other individual in the room.

Logan's parents had gone out for the evening, giving the boys a little alone time in the Henderson household. His little sister Presley was over at a friends, but was due home any minute, so Logan's parents had asked him to be there when she got back.

Sure enough, no more than ten minutes later; the crunching of gravel in the driveway signalled her arrival. Soon the jiggling of the doorknob and the creak from the opening of the door sounded throughout the home before Presley stepped inside.

“Mom! Dad! I'm back!” she shouted, her voice echoing into the living room. Logan sighed before responding, “they went out Presley, it's just me and Kendall!”

A loud thunk emitted from the foyer and Kendall sat up straight, worry etched across his features. He made to go see if the young girl had injured herself, but Logan's held up a finger telling him to wait and Kendall stopped to eye his boyfriend suspiciously.

The quick scampering off bare feet charged their way and Kendall turned just in time to get an armful of Presley who immediately snuggled into his chest.

“Hi Kendall!” she greeted giddily arms wrapped around his waist in a vice grip. Kendall smiled sheepishly at the young girl, folding her in his arms.

Logan continued to scowl from his spot on the couch.

Presley broke the hug with the tall blond a moment later and turn to greet her brother. “Hi Logan!” she threw him a cheeky smile and a wave, her cheeks flushed a deep red - still in close proximity with the blond.

“Hi Pres” Logan greeted, not moving from his spot but sending his younger sister a sweet smile. The girl gave him another short wave, glanced at Kendall out of the corner of her eye and proceeded to turn and run up to her bedroom.

Her joyous squeals echoing behind her.

“So now you understand.” Logan said, not so much asking the blond as stating it.

Kendall chuckled, “so she has a crush on me, no big deal Babe.” he plopped onto the couch beside his boyfriend, forgoing his previous spot on the wooden coffee table.

“Yes, big deal! She has a crush - on you! My boyfriend!” he pushed away the arm that came to wrap around his shoulders, scooting to the opposite end of the couch.

Kendall only rolled his eyes, “Logan, what? Are you jealous of your sister?”

Logan snorted, “don't be ridiculous Kendall. She's my baby sister.”

“Then what is the problem, it's a little crush, like I said - no big deal!” The blond watched the brunet's scowl turn into a precious pout.

“I..I can't get mad at you for her liking you.” Logan explained, sighing when his boyfriend sent him a blank look.

“It's, because it's you, and it's her, and-”

“You're really over thinking this Babe, it's a simple little crush, I'm sure soon she'll move onto James or something.” Logan snorted.

“I'm sure James is too caught up in Fox to care about anyone.”

“That's probably true.” Kendall agreed. “But hey, you, have absolutely nothing to worry, or be jealous of,” he placed a soft kiss into Logan's hair, “you're all I need and want.”

“Thank you, and-” Logan roughly elbowed his boyfriend in the gut, “I'm not jealous of my little sister and stop treating me like a woman, Schmidt.” The blond only groaned in response, doubled-over in pain.

This time Logan sunk back into the worn sofa cushion with a smirk of satisfaction.
