Hello!
Today wasn't too interesting.
I left early for work because I'm still afraid something will happen along the way and make me late. Okay, I'm afraid I'll get a speeding ticket and be late, so I leave early so I can drive ridiculously slow. Make sense? Right. When I got downtown, I went to the courthouse at about 8:15 to get my notary commission re-recorded in my new name. They asked me if I was a member of the grand jury. Nope, not me. I set off the metal detector, good times.
I got to work at 9 but no one was there. I stood in the hallway sipping my juicebox and greeting the neighbors in the surrounding offices until 9:15. Today was very different from yesterday. I did actual work, but it wasn't as messy. They gave me a few larger projects instead of 6 million small ones. Much easier on the brain, but either way is fine.
On my lunch break, I went to National City since my former coworkers kept calling my cell phone this morning. They left me voicemails and said they missed me. Aww! So I had to transact business anyway so I went down there. Lori, the assistant manager, quit! Her last day is Friday!!! She's going to Fifth Third. And everything is a big gigantic disaster. But she's happy, so that's cool. She is awesome so I hope she likes it.
Tomorrow is another day. I get my new filing cabinet woohoo!!! And I also get a tutorial on how to properly use the phone. Necessary? Probably not entirely. But, it definitely beats reading the manual.
I am trying to make myself tired earlier on in the evening so I can get an adequate amount of sleep but I just can't get sleepy. I'm sleepy at 5pm, why not at 11? Oh Benadryl...
Last night, I couldn't sleep so I went out on the couch, turned on the fireplace, took a Benadryl, and tried counting sheep. First, I counted them as they jumped over a mystery object...I guess it would be my nose since they were on the left and they ended up on the right. Then my eyes started to hurt even though they were closed, so I pretended they were all standing in a pasture. I tried counting them but no matter how high I counted, it felt like I was counting the same 5 or 6 sheep. Next, I tried counting them like Sesame Street characters. Each one was a different color and every sheep held up the number that corresponded to what number sheep he or she was. Spotted sheep, calico sheep, pastel sheep. Nuts. Well that got relatively boring so they jazzed it up a little and soon, some of them were wearing party hats. Sheep, wearing party hats!!! All I could figure is that they were celebrating Amy's birthday! Needless to say, I fell asleep eventually. Good thing too, because...you can't really top party hats.
