serious hurt!
Hola haven't updated in a while!
Last week went by really really really really slow since it was a full week back after no school from the hurricanes. Practices went really well thoguh we leanred the last part of the closer and added a few things to the show for the game and for Tampa. Thanks to all the girls for giving it their all and showing a change...I left practice feeling like everyone had wanted to be there and that we got so much accomplished! <3 for all my girls I love you guys.
The game was pretty good...A few glitches in my show but overall much better than all the previous ones. Yay for the game we had fun. I couldn't go out afterwards though because I had to get up early to take the dreaded SATs, and had to pack and such for my trip.
Saturday my morning started at 5:30 AM! AHHHHH that was one long day for me. We all met at Duffy's and went to the SATs, I hope I did well because I don't want to have to take them again. Afterwards every fast food place around town had HUGE lines which meant no lunch for Mandy :( I was a hungry girl when I got to the school and had to do runthroughs.
Off to Tampa we went...the bus ride was fun and we were all ready for the show! So turns out we had a really good show according to Katie I know it was my personal best ever and that's what a lot of other people said too. I guess the judges didn't think so though because we didn't get the superior we were hoping for...:( I was really upset because I was so proud of everyone and knew how hard we had worked so to not get one for the first time ever while everyone else did just hurt. But on a lighter note...We placed second in our class and the drum majors, drumline, and band got overall superiors. Then the awaited moment came....the overall placing for the lion's pride competition...and second place goes to JUPITER HIGH SCHOOL!!! W00T :-D we got second out of like twenty bands...how awesome is that? So that was an emotional night lol. Last Tampa ever for us seniors...:(
The off to our hotel. I mean the trip wouldn't have been as interesting without our wonderful hotel. We killed a roach named Pedro...well Nat did *applause for her* becasue I wouldn't have been able to do it! I'm not going to go into detail I'm just going to say that there were hairs and stains where they shouldn't have been. Scary men roaming the halls and no clock in the room. Oh and I was afraid to touch anything. But there wasn't anything we could do about it so it made our night that much more interesting lol.
Got home Sunday and had a little chat with Erica. She invited me out on a boat with her Jordan, Kyle, and Ryan. OMG I am soo happy I went, it really brightened my mood and I had a really good time. I learned how to knee board! I mean I didn't actually think that I would do it but I did and I was actually pretty good! Definitely have to do it again. :-D
I got to go get some practice clothes on...see ya'll in a bit
