GETTING MY GOO GOO DOLL FIX IN 2006
HAPPY NEW YEAR! yay 2006!!
the ggd concert was awesome! i think IT WAS the best i have ever seen john perform! robby was awesome as well, but he always gives his performance 110%. he seems more comfortable on stage and he interacts w/ the crowd more than john usually does. i think as far as their overall performance this nye was much better than last nye (b/c johnny wasn't as cranky! lol!). as far as venue last year was better b/c there were assigned seats so the crowd was much less hostile...
i did run into greg and he gave me a big hug and asked how i was doing before all the ggd fans rushed him and started asking for pictures w/ him. and he smiled a HUGE smile at me when he found me in the crowd (b/c i was right in front of him in the pit) which was exciting! there was one point where i was singing along w/ one of the songs and i was watching at him play, and he looked up just as i mouthed "and i love when things work out" and i think he was reading my lips b/c when i mouthed "i love..." his eyes got wide, like he was expecting me to mouth something different to him. lol! it was kinda funny! :)
oh, i also had a very short but very real conversation w/ johnny!! YAY!! i asked him something and then he responded, and i melted into a puddle of amanda right there on the floor! lol! (oh, and he looked sooo hot last night! le sigh...
the ag meet up was also fun! it really transformed the virtual community of the message boards into a physical community, and it was such a wonderful and exciting experience. the best part was that i got to meet kaye (a lady i talk to a lot on the message boards) and she "adopted" me. she said i could be her daughter, which was very sweet! i absolutely love her! i also met a bunch of other gooberz i have talked to on the boards and that was fun! they are all very sweet and it is nice to have a group of people who understand how much i love the ggds! YAY!
and gabi's grandparents were very hospitable. the first night we were there they took us to the 'belagio' hotel and we had dinner there with the owner of the hotel (who they know personally)! it was so coool! and they are just very sweet people and i am unbelievably grateful that they allowed me to stay at their house.
and i have to say that gabi was such a GOOd sport about the whole thing. she let me be crazy and didn't judge me! and she was excited with me even tho she's not fanatic! she was very fun to share the experience with! WOOHOO! i just hope i didn't drive her crazy too much! lol! :)
ok, so i got about 2 1/2 hours of restless sleep last night so i'm off to take a nap...i needed to reflect first b/c otherwise i won't be able to sleep.
