comfort zone...
I've been without sleep for more than twenty four hours now, and oddly enough I hardly feel sleepy at all. Or maybe, I have just passed feeling the urge to sleep already. Anyways, I did take a couple of power naps here and there -- no biggie.
Today was filled with social commitments --
After coming off from a twelve hour shift, I had to get back home to change and look decent... me and the family were due to attend a lunch buffet party for one of my aunts' birthday. It was a pretty lowkey event held at the buffet area of Hilton at Universal Studios... and I was so sick of eating so much food afterwards. Saw alot of relatives, and jokes a helluva lot about the older folks uploading profile pics on Facebook... twas fun!

Got back to Glendale, went on a last minute gift shopping run for Alvia's birthday. I gave a Sephora Eau Girl Gift Set which she loved! Before the dinner party at Barcelona Tapas Bar at Old Pasadena... I was helping out Ernesto pick out a gift... and kind of hinted how I really liked this one bracelet from J.Crew:

He ended up getting for me, and I was floored. It had a hefty price tag of $60. But it was nothing compared to the Crystal Bib Necklace he got for Alvia, which was a whopping $150 retailed. It was insane! I must say I am in love with my bracelet, and told him that I am considering it as my birthday gift this year ~
He was super sweet tonight too, checking every fifteen minutes or so if I was still feeling ok... and he let me hold on to his "strong, sturdy arms" because I was already getting dizzy from the lack of sleep (plus champagne and a sip of mojito from earlier) while we were crossing the intersection back to the parking structure. The boy even stayed a few minutes as I went inside my apartment, just to make sure I got home safely.
I'm going to sleep now. My mind is still awake, but I can feel my body giving way to the exhaustion.
