Oh summer...

So I like my job, I really do, but I don't like it when I can't work. I haven't worked in about two weeks. Mostly because people keep canceling appointments. Boo. But Linda decided to take the weekend and Monday off because of the 4th. I dunno, like it's a holiday or something. Which is fine, but whatever, holidays don't usually stop me from working... Considering Bay Equine usually has me work on all the holidays, like Christmas, Christmas Eve, the 4th of July, Thanksgiving, etc. But now I'm just a tech, so no more weekends stuck at the barn. Eh, I'll work eventually, for now, more mooching off my parents.

I've thoroughly enjoyed hanging out with friends recently. I think it's more fun to just randomly get together and hang out for hours. I managed to get Jenn down to Calvert on Tuesday, and she got to see/ride Chance. So for the next couple weeks, I'm gonna make her come down a few more times, so she can ride, and maybe give me some pointers on continuing his training. We also swam in my pool for a few hours, woot for having a pool. And since Jenn's leaving in two weeks, I'm making her spend tons of time with me, I'm so mean. But honestly, I'm gonna fall apart in two weeks. So to my other friends, be prepared.

But thank God for my horse. He'll give me something to concentrate on. Chance has really impressed me the past couple weeks. I'm not sure yet if he's actually worked with the kids yet, but he's taken a group of blind/deaf people on a trail ride, and gone on a couple trail rides with Linda and Jackie, and they're impressed. He's calmed down sooooo much, and is loving the attention. He's also loving being on grass pasture and in a field with two horses... Nutmeg and Freddie. He loves them both, but is very protective of Nutmeg, she's his mare. Hehe. Actually, I'm going over to Fresh Meadows as soon as I'm done with this, and he gets to do some jumping on the lunge line. Gotta let him have some fun, and see if I'll ever be able to jump... while riding him.

Anyway, at this point I seem to be rambling. So I think that'll be all for now. Hope everyone's enjoying their summer, I have been. Too bad my parents/sister are coming home from Lake Tahoe today... no more house to myself. Okay, off to go play with my pony! :)
