Brief update before I head off to the farm
Last night I went to see "The Producers" with Jenn, Jackie (co-worker), and Linda (my boss). It was amazing! I haven't laughed that much in sooo long. It was just so damn funny. I had a great time, and considering Jenn was near tears laughing, I guess she did too.
Now the night didn't start out quite as planned. Linda picked me up at home and we met Jackie in Waysons Corner. Jackie drove us into D.C. and we soon found roads that were more like parking lots. I think it was a combination of rush hour and the rain. We turned onto Connecitcut Ave. and drove thru about 6 inches of water or higher while doing it. We had planned on going to a restaurant at 6, but because of traffic we never made it. Poor Jenn had to sit in the restaurant and wait for about a half hour just to leave again. Then we got stuck on Rt. 66 right next to the Kenedy Center, so we had to cross a bridge, then turn around and fight thru traffic, and finally find the right road. We did, at about 7pm, so we had exactly a half hour before the show started.
Anyway, we made it and it was awesome. And Jenn and I found somewhere to eat after we got back cuz we were starving.
Let's see, what else. Well, the indoor arena at Fresh Meadows is coming along great. The roof is on and the siding is almost done. So now they can start working on the kick walls and footing inside. It's going to be awesome. I have to get Chance moved over there so that I can maybe use it. *fingers crossed* I just thought of something, I don't think I've mentioned the arena yet. Well it's being built in the middle of our biggest field over there.
I'll finish this later, gotta go meet Jenn outside and head over to the campus farm.
