As this is my first post I will keep it short and sweet. (Sorta)
YES!! The Red Sox are World Champs AGAIN!
It was great getting back in touch with some old friends today. I found two in one day (both on myspace) I had not talked to since my high school days. One called me, but I wasn't available. I called her back and since I didn't recognize the number I didn't know who to ask for. I had a choice of two people it could be and I asked for the wrong person. Silly me. I will call her back tomorrow. She probably thinks I am a donk. (did I just use the word "donk"?) LOL.
The other got me on LJ. I went to find pictures of her in her posts, and since I did not know where to look, I started back in 2002. Finally found it, and I would have been better off going backwards lol. It was great talking to her - albeit via yahoo messenger - but I will take what I can get.
It's 5 AM and my wife has been sick for two days now so I am up taking care of her - poor thing. My step son had it before her so I have reserved a number.
Small scare this morning too. It got cold enough that the way our furnace works changed, and it started emitting a gas odor and set off our smoke detectors. We called the furnace company (the person on call was less than thrilled to be woken up at 3 AM) and they told us that it was common for that to happen the first time the gas is used. We will take him at his word and hope we don't blow up.
Well, I think that is about it for now. Time to get some rest (I hope)
