Wow, today was interesting...
Started out normal: went to class then work. Then I ate dinner with my girls Coop, LC, and Nikki. Then we decided to go to WalMart to pick up some things that we needed for arts and crafts night. We were going to be ironing on our greek letters for shirts or pants or whatever we wanted to make so we bought some plain shirts and some cute underwear for Thursday night. Don't ask because we don't know, all we know is we're being told to wear full butt cute underwear that day. I'm kind of scared...but oh well what can I do! Anyways...so then we come back to JU and have arts and crafts night with some of our sorority sisters that joined us and we played nintendo in between ironing on letters.
After that I went back to my room, took a shower, and then JBo called me and asked if I wanted to go with her to get some gas...haha...yeah it sounds funny but ok...so we go get gas and JBo says "I don't wanna go back yet, you wanna go somewhere?" So, we go to WalMart lol. We pick up a couple things that we need for our rooms and what-not and we leave.
So, we're getting off on an exit and there's like the big orange construction barrels, but the exit is open where you can drive onto it, it just looks like they put the barrels there to thin the lane down if ya know what I mean, like they had in Black Diamond for awhile. So, we get off on the exit and once we're all the way down and around the little loop there's all this construction going on that we couldn't see before so we're like "I don't think we're supposed to be down here" and then this cop pulls up in front of us and stops and shines the fuckin light right on us like we're crazy people or something...
So, he gets out comes up to the car, I roll my window down and he says in a smartass tone "The barrels weren't good enough for you?" and JBo is trying to be very polite and he asks for her license right away (keep in mind we're in J-ville, white cop, and JBo is Puerto Rican) so yeah he's being a total asshole and keeps looking her car up and down trying to find something wrong with it and JBo tries to explain to him that there was an opening to the exit where you could drive through and he keeps insisting that there were "road closed" signs (which there wasn't because I think both or one of us would've seen them) and he's making it out like we drove around the barricades or moved them or something. So, whatever...he's looking at the license plate, then he keeps coming back and forth between his car and JBo's asking for different things each time. Then he says "is this your car" basically accusing JBo of stealing a car or something. So, finally he asks her to get out of the car and he shows her the back of her car and says "I could cite you for this" (talking about her light over her license plate was broken, but really he can't cite her because that's not why he pulled her over) but anyways...so then he walks around to the other side of her car and he says "can you come over here" and makes her walk all the way around her car to where he's at then asks her to sign a ticket. So, she signs it, and then she gets back in the car, he leads us out of the construction site and I'm looking at the ticket...it says "signs posted/barrels, drove around barricades" that's the fuckin reasoning that he put for giving her the ticket..WTF is that shit?! And then he didn't even put a price of how much the ticket was. AND he put that she was Black for her race...now wtf..he was holding her fuckin license for like 30 min. the entire time and can't read it to see that she's fuckin hispanic not black!!! He was a racist asshole who after stopping in front of us saw that she was of color, saw that she had a nice car, and basically assumed that it wasn't hers or that she stole it and then writes her a ticket anyways...not a warning, a ticket for "driving around barricades"! Are you fucking kidding me?! She's never even had a ticket before in her entire life and she's 20.
That's the dumbest reason for a ticket I've ever heard in my life! So, yeah she's definately taking it to the courthouse or wherever she has to go and she's fighting it and I'm going with her. So, that was my exciting night!
Now, I'm going to bed because it's almost 2am and I have a 9am class tomorrow! Peace out my homies! Love ya guys!
