I love Jack's pride in the idea that the English have a pronunciation all of their own :)

The extent of my knowledge of varieties of Latin is that there was classical and church, and vulgar and... not vulgar. I thought you were our expert :)

I guess Obelix would have thought them fit for eating. He did it all the time. ;D

The testudo formation or tortoise. So maybe the testudo Aubreii is really a typical form of Jack going into battle?

Yes, it's a bit quiet, but maybe that's due to the chapter being mostly about the court-martial.

I love the short exchange between Jack and Stephen about Jack being stone-cold sober. It shows Stephen's concern.
