first things first
its been two days now of shaking out all the nonpareil sprinkles out of my keyboard. i think all the letters work now. my mom apparently had a rough day when she was visiting on sunday and this played a significant hand in her not being able to actually get any of the candies in her mouth, just all over my computer and my couch.
here is a list of my recent accomplishments:
1) got offered the assistant manager position at work
2) paid off my credit card in full (almost 2 years of having a balance on it)
3) built a terrarium, after learning what a terrarium is
i am feeling pretty good about these things. i don't know if i will take the promotion yet, i am using my best negotiation skills to get at least a dollar raise, but sadly i don't think they are going to be willing to part with the money. i've been off for a few days, maybe today when i go in i'll have some sort of answer. there is an indescribable amount of bs that goes with the job and they are going to have to make it worth my while.
thoughts of getting more education have crossed my mind, and i would be willing to go back to school to either be a nurse or a teacher. ha, just listing those two things together makes me think of those little cartoon career cards, i forget the game but anyways... yes being a nurse would be lots of money but probably a crappy schedule and not much time off. being a teacher would be less money but it doesn't seem like you really even have to go to work much. summers off is almost too much to hope for.
also, spring is almost here! can't wait to see all the trees on our street get all leafy and stuff.
