Lords of sounds and lesser things
This morning
I lay
in darkness
for ten hours
and wondered,
"Is everything going to be
okay?"
I think it might.
(For those of you wondering, I had a fun birthday. It had its ups and its downs, but I ended up having a good time. Apparently there's no limit to what a tank of gas and some good people can do.
I realized that I have some amazing friends; fucking amazing people in my life, and I know with all the Amanda and Jenny (and somewhat Josh) bullshit that was going on, I haven't had a chance to fully appreciate the people I've been blessed with. It made me feel really good when I was getting birthday toasted, and one of my complements was that I was always there for my friends. It made me feel really special, and even more so when I learned, the next night, that my friends were willing to stop their lives if I was willing to drive to see them. Thanks guys (especially Drew). Yeah, I've been needing everyone a lot, lately. You can probably tell by the 3am calls. Thanks. A lot. I mean it.)
