It feels like I have some weird obsession about Kurt Cobain and Nirvana, but it is unusual for someone that was an icon during my developmental years to have so much free content available about them on You Tube. You can literally watch over fifty live Nirvana performances and some from really odd places that you'd think there would be nothing about. It is like watching someone that you know will end tragically in a few years perform not knowing what their future is. Also though, he got everything he wanted too. It isn't total tragedy. It is hard to think of someone else's life that was so compelling and fascinating that you have easy access to. He is part of the public record now. I'm sure there are tons of artists, like writers and film makers, that have equally compelling stories, if you knew everything about them, but you don't know anything about them because they, like any rational person, values their privacy.

It's very weird how you can document so much about Kurt Cobain's life just from You Tube though.

Some of it though is that I can't concentrate on what I really want to concentrate on, so I often end up doing stupid things like watching old Nirvana concerts on You Tube. It's really amazing how passionate that guy was about playing music and singing. Who else screams like that while performing?
