The night before I flew home, the boy, some friends from work and my roommate went to a free screening of 'Garden State.' At the time we all agreed it was a good movie and everyone liked it.
It's about once you move away from home and go back, it's not really home. Your friends are different, it's not as easy to relate to the same people, etc.
I didn't think anything about it.
So I go home to Virginia, fly back to Boston, the roommate picks me up, we're hanging out watching TV and a commercial for 'Garden State' comes on.
It then dawns on me how FUCKING BRILLIANT the movie really is. And now I'm borderline tears everytime I see the same commercial.
Just watch it and you'll understand.
