PLOT

THE PREMISE

Gabriel is sick of your selfish shit, humans. You were made to be better than this but all he can see is you running around looking after yourselves and your own interests. Now he'd like to think he was on pretty good terms with Praenuntius, and if he says he's given you warnings, he's told you what is happening, then Gabriel trusts him on that. If you don't want to believe it, that's your own problem, but you deal with what's in front of you. You've been tasked with saving the universe? Well, then you do that. It's your fate, you get on with it.

You've decided you're not going to heed those warnings? You're going to sit on your backside and play house and happy families? Fair enough. But now you have to deal with the consequences. Gabriel is bringing the war to your door-step.

WHAT THAT MEANS FOR THE SECTOR:
Gabriel likes his violence old-testament style as well as his speciality urban-legends. On this sort of scale? He's going to have a party. You don't want to fight? Then here's a picture of what life we be before the end.

The Venetian District is criss-crossed with those beautiful waterways, isn't it? Pretty soon, that water is going to stink. It's going to be rancid, hardly flowing, and over-night will turn to blood. There'll be flies, horrible flying biting things and if you don't like bugs, you better stay inside. It's not going to help you much though.

Gabriel's got that lovely little Serpent Army. Not that he thinks much of them, but he's going to be using them. Lootings, mugging, accosting and beating people on the streets. They'll be people, loved ones, dragged off to the Temple in the centre of the District, and there might just be a sacrifice or two. He's a fucking pagan god, and if he wants blood, he'll have it.

That also means he's going to be summoning up a few other choice illusions. Fenrir, for one; a giant monstrous wolf who is rather keen on human flesh. Hel is going to wander the night- half corpse, half living woman who is going to drag anyone stupid enough to be caught by her into the rivers of blood. She's not picky, so she'll take Serpent Army members as well as you pathetic lot. Various urban legends are going to be making an appearance; Chupacabra, Slender Man, Pope Lick Monster, Gremlins and that sort of thing. They're Gabriel's illusions, but they can and will hurt you.

Gabriel is holding court at the Temple, as mentioned. It's his base of operations, but it's also where he'll be deciding if anyone stupid enough to get captured deserves a chance to live and to fight. This isn't just about taking over Little Venice, it's about testing you all. If you deserve to be spared, maybe you will be. Maybe you won't be killed. But if you're found lacking? It's on the altar.

WHAT THAT MEANS FOR YOU:

Remember; Food is going to be scarce. There's no power. You may not know the area well.

The Venetian District is not safe, and it's not nice. You won't want to be here, but it's impossible for you to get out. And from what little is being heard from the other districts? You might not want to.

Some of the buildings are very soon going to become uninhabitable, especially those built over the rivers and canals. Some are going to be damaged by Gabriel's Goons, some of them by various monsters. Some of you might be picked up very early along and dragged off to the Temple, others of you will be able to stay out of harm's way, through luck and skill. It's up to you what you want to do, how you want to tackle these issues, but I imagine considering the make-up of the people stuck in the District, someone is going to attempt to fight back.

PLAYER PLOTS

• HELEN MAGNUS is setting up a shelter/care center on the coast, taking a couple of the upper floors. It'll be the place to go if you need patching up, and anyone with extra supplies can always take them on over, they'd be appriciated. For some strange reason (grudging respect) the make-shift clinic isn't going to come under attack.
• DESMOND MILES is handing out weapons from Auditore Villa to those who need them. He'll also be heading to the Temple using his mad Assasin Skillz to try and end Gabriel's reign of blood but... well, we'll see how that goes down.
• PEPPER POTTS is going to be using the Mark VII Iron Man suit to fly around with supplies and aid for those who need it. If she gets into any sticky situations, the suit is equipped with enough explosive to get her out without much trouble. 
• THOR is on Hulk-watch to try and minimise harm to innocents and calm down Doctor Banner. He'll also be heroing generally and possible going after Gabriel too, if only because Fate has assigned him to fight ever Loki ever. 
• PETER PARKER is going to be heroing it up and probably sassing every vaguely evil thing he's anywhere near.
• PEGGY CARTER will also be soldiering around being awesome but in no serious serious situation like the power-gifted people. 
• SAM FLYNN will be trying to get the power back to the District, as well as being live-bait for any attacks or missions that require it. He may also end up being sacrificed too.
• YU NARUKAMI will be trying to help people as much as his powers will allow, although he's not much practised and may not be at his best by the end of the event due to exhaustion. 
• BRUCE BANNER will be trying to keep a low-profile and not Hulk Out for a while. When it does happen though, expect several buildings to be damaged if not destroyed, probably a few bridges and what-not. Once he's himself again he'll be helping at the Shelter, running supplies and waiting to get his chance to take a chunk out of Gabriel.
• KAROLINA DEAN is also running supplies, fighting and using her power of flight to keep out of the reach of some of the real nasties down below. 
• HENRY FOSS will be working on the barrier and wolfing-out as necessary to keep folks safe. 
• ELIZABETH TUDOR will be using her extensive knowledge of religion to try and get her hands on this Holy Oil. Gabriel and her are also going to have a lovely chat over tea and biscuits debate about the nature of religion

END GAME
Venice, ah Venice. Home of learning and the arts. Also home to some crazy religious nuts so don't be surprised if some of the houses and public buildings are filled with religious artefacts and text books. There are certain traps and sigils some of you may discover that 1) might disable or disperse Gabriel's illusions, and 2) once his angelic nature is revealed- and it will be, towards the end- might bind him.

Just don't expect it to be easy, Gabriel's a vicious thing and will hit you where it hurts- memories of missing loved ones, make you relieve that moment that you were responsible for horrific things. He doesn't want to lose, but he will, in the end. Maybe you need to remind him of his own humanity, or maybe you just need to stick him in a ring of Holy Oil till his goons are defeated. It's up to you guys.

I know it was said that items could be passed through the barriers between the Districts, but I don't know about information. If anyone is able to communicate with the outside world, well, there might also be help from those beyond. Dean Winchester will be able to give you information on Arch-angels and what you need to do to trap and or kill them, so when people find out what's going on there, they might want to get the message out. News on various deaths in the city is going to be broadcast.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Ensi, the NPC Priestess over at the Temple, is going to be captured and held prisioner by Gabriel. HOWEVER, she does collect artefacts from various different religions, and somewhere within the Temple there is a store of HOLY OIL for those of you looking to trap Gabriel.

PLOT! I know that there are a lot of things going on, but I'd love to expand on this event and get everyone's ideas. Even if you aren't going to be in this district, any thoughts you have or ideas would be amazing to hear! If you want to do anything specific with your characters, just say!
