It's not breaking and entering if you sort of live their and your ex has your fur babies held hostage )
Selina wouldn't trust them enough to be a family. Family was there for each other through everything, and no one had ever been there for her like that. She had survived on her own through everything and anything. Why would Mandalus be any different? Sure, they cared. Everyone cared. Until there was something else to care about. Something else that was more appealing. Selina wasn't about to let herself be shoved to the side because of something else. The walls were there and she was determined that no one would get through them.
Her hand clenched as he dragged her inside, reminding herself not to flip him over on his backside. She took a quick glance around the room to find the best way to smuggle Gabriel out. No doubt Elizabeth would notice no matter what they did. Then her eyes went to the tiger. With a semi-annoyed look on her face, Selina strode over to the tiger and knelt down beside it, running her fingers through it's fur.
"Now, you'll be a good kitty, won't you?" Selina asked it. "Don't tell Mommy that Daddy is going to be going away with some things for awhile. We'll make it our little secret."

But she didn't, and so it didn't matter, and he just went about as he needed to, gathering things into his arms. That was of course until the Tiger. The plan was, as soon as it tried to rip him to shreds to just, well, pop the hells out of there. With Selina, of course, although he had no worries about her getting out, it just wasn't going to do him any favours to leave her behind. She'd probably try and kill him, or at least glare at him in her cold aloof way until he curled up and died, which was pretty much the same thing.
He didn't get the chance to though, before the woman was there petting the thing and murmuring at it. Gabriel wasn't going to hang around though, not even to see the Tiger nudge against her hand. He was already backing out of the door, stuff cradled in his arms, eyes wide with surprise.
"You a cat-whisper as well as Cat Woman? Just wondering."

Her eyes rolled towards Gabriel, giving him a pointed look. "That's almost as bad as Catwoman. Get out while you can. There's a door down the hall that leads to the gardens if you're determined to leave like a human." Then she raised her hand and scratched behind the tiger's ears. Just be glad she was distracting it for you, Gabriel.
