[ As normal, Helen has been very busy in the world of the Sanctuary. There has been a small increase in spotted abnormals, which they've been responding to and bringing several of them to the Sanctuary. In other cases they've simply extended a helping hand. Given it's more or less the new year for their world, Helen has called a meeting of the staff of the Sanctuary. She's waiting in her office at her desk, ready to begin. She plans on it being very long and filled with a ridiculous amount of information. Which tends to be normal for the meetings. ]
[ Helen nods to all of them once they've settled around her office. Ashley, Henry, Kate and Nikola. She's certain that Nikola is going to find some reason to complain, as he always does, but these items are something that have to be addressed. ]
First of all, I would say thank you for being here in the new year, but given we have no choice in being here? [ Helen smiles with a shrug. ] I hope that this meeting isn't too long, but I can't promise anything. Hopefully you all have cleared your schedules enough to this doesn't conflict with anything. [ She looks down at her tablet, shuffling through a few things on it. ] There are several things we need to address. Henry removed the Sanctuary off the city's power and defense grid when he arrived, meaning that the only defenses we have are those that are native to the Sanctuary. Unfortunately, those won't suffice, as we've seen with previous events here in Mandalus. Our EM shielding and our lockdown procedures will help with those trying to get in, but it does little to stop an actual army that could be at our doorstep. Henry, Nikola. I need the pair of you to come up with something that is going to be more efficient for us all here. You'll have plenty of lab space, and access to any materials you may need. There is a reported junkyard that is near the Spaceport outside of the Business District.
I know Ashley has been researching the city as best as she can. [ She sends a fond look to her daughter. ] And Kate, you've been in far more contact with the Order than all of us. I need the both of you to keep doing exactly that, but at the same time to be ready for any field mission I may need your help on. Henry? You will need to be on standby just in case. [ She folds the tablet over in her lap. ] For Henry and Ashley's benefit, the Assassin Order have been allies with the Sanctuary since I met their leader, Ezio, on the previous planet we were held captive on. Their Order is based on the principles of freedom for man, and taking out those who would stop it. While I'm not entirely fond of the idea of murder, it is better to have allies in a foreign place than have none at all. We do not interfere with their work and they do not interfere with ours. That being said, of course, should you ever need help? I'm certain they wouldn't mind lending a hand, just as we help them.
Beyond all of that, we need a working database of all the Mandalus born abnormals we are giving sanctuary to. I already have records of all of those who live here in the Sanctuary that come from other worlds. Henry, if you could get more server space up for this it would be very helpful. Kate, Ashley, I'd like the two of you to keep an eye on our growing population and our armory. Also, while you are out and about, keep your ears open for anything that may be happening in the Mandalus Underground concerning abnormals or... something more sinister. We need to know what is going on in the world around us if we're to do something about it.
If there is something else any of you need to bring up, then now is certainly the time.
[ For the rest of Mandalus? Helen is always available to talk. Calling, texting, around the Sanctuary, or out and about in town? Feel free to stop and have a word with her. Maybe even lunch or dinner! She can be found doing her business and prepping things ass he always is. There's not much of anything new happening in world at the moment. ]
