[ There was no mistaking it. For the past day he could have sworn he heard the voice he remembered hearing not so long ago. A voice that, when he asked Baby Tooth, she could not hear. The littlest fairy only shrugged her shoulders and offered the Guardian a curious look. But he knew he could hear it-- It was her voice. Just like before when his memories had been in the possession of Pitch Black.
While it took the better part of the day to follow it, the wind brought Jack just above the roof of the pawn shop, letting him drift down to it until his feet touched down upon it. With Baby Tooth fluttering beside him, she chirped at him, but he brought a finger to his lips, gesturing her to keep quiet. And without waiting for her to respond Jack jumped down from the roof into the snow, his staff forever at his side. The voice calling out his name was growing louder still as he approached the front of the shop. He lingered in front of the windows just long to peer inside. When he pressed a hand against the glass the frost blossomed from his touch, decorating the pane while he squinted his eyes to get a better look inside. But because there were so many items and objects filling the shop, he couldn't see the golden box.
He could hear it though. ]
Stay here. [ He whispered to the fairy as she tried to follow him to the door. With an undignified cheep, she puffed her cheeks and shook her head furiously. ] I'll be right back-- it's not like I'm walking into Pitch's place like before, alright? I'm just going to go in there, grab it, and come right back out. I promise! [ He watched as she shook her head and chirped again, with more volume this time, before she dove into the hood of his sweatshirt without waiting for him to argue further. He heaved a sigh and tried to reach for her, but she burrowed herself further into the sewn cloth, out of his grasp. ]
Fine, fine, you win.
[ WHile it was difficult to make out Jack knew she had made a little cheeping sound of victory in response. Shaking his head, Jack looked back inside the shop. There was a man there but that didn't worry him much. As carefully as he could, he took hold of the door and pulled it open gently. When he looked up at the door frame he caught sight of the belle and, thinking fast, stuffed his staff into it to try and muffle the jingle. ]
Oh, there's no point in that. You've made quite an announcement for yourself already.
[ Mr. Gold pointed right to the window where the frost had gathered on the window. It was obvious to him when the Guardian had come near. He had his own sense of power, perhaps not as old or deep as his own, but power nonetheless. He smiled at him, placing one of the wands he was cleaning into it's case. ]
Pulling the staff away from the bell, the Guardian looked over to Mr. Gold and tried to pass all of this off with a laugh and a grin. He had not expected the old man to see him. Really, he hadn't. But apparently Mandalus was full of surprises: after all, this was the third adult to know of him. To see him. ]
Who else can fly around and cause the snow to form and the air to turn into ice? Give yourself some credit, Mr. Frost. Children everywhere can sleep better knowing that school may yet be canceled.
[ He picks up the next wand and starts cleaning it. ]
[ It was louder. The voice of his sister was definitely louder and close by. Without trying to rouse any suspicion he keep his gaze on the pawn shop owner but moved further into the room, trying to pin point the area the voice was coming from. ]
Juuuust taking a look around. It's a big city and all, plenty to see and loads to do. Figured I'd take a little peek inside-- no harm done.

And what could I possibly do for Jack Frost?
