[Snap, crackle, pop. It sounds like a spine's being readjusted, the grinding of bones falling back into place. Then a sigh - long winded and exaggerated. Two foot falls follow and they're crisp, cut -]

[ - sharp. ] Well, that wasn't very nice.

Greed is it? Well perhaps I should call you friend. [But she's fond of men who know how to bow, for once reason or another.]

Greetings and welcome, my lord Greed. I am Elizabeth Tudor, Queen of England. It is an honour for you to join us.

[Oh, isn't that just rich]

[Greed hums low in his throat; makes a noise that seems to slither out of that dank, dark core of his. Closes his lips to placate the lady and her ... interesting language.]

[His lids fall heavy and he's taking a once over - a glance as two of his fingers expand at his collarbone. Highlight the red tattoo blazed on the back of his palm.]

Just Greed, lovely. I'm not exactly royalty.

[He retracts his fingers like claws, slides them back down to loop them through the leather belt loops of his pants.] The pleasure's all mine.

[The change is... simple for her, she's gotten better at how people insist here.]

Nobles aren't royalty. They may dream of it, but they're certainly not the case. [but her arrogance aside.] But oh, if you are greed, nobility and royals certainly know you. [Greed and pride, the two sins she'd never be ashamed of. She went above and beyond even nobles, she wouldn't stop until a whole country was hers after all. Thousands upon thousands of men loyal to her, and her alone. The closest to divinity that mortal men could touch.]

Kind of you to say so.

[He's already on the move, though attentions haven't waned. He arches a thin brow above his shades, lets his smile cut deep. A little crooked, but it seems he's in fine company.]

I'm sorry - used to know a guy who claimed to be. [However, that's neither here nor there. Now, the talk of sin? Makes eyes close and that saunter pick up; the tip-top slicing cut of clean heels gracing a road.]

[No need to stick around in one place.] The name's Greed - and you could say that. Though, it's just one man's avarice. Boring story.

[Stop, jerk. Whirl to the feed like a vulture turning-tabs on a fresh meal.] I make it a point not to offend a woman.

[oh, he's interesting. She likes interesting when so many were predictable. Needed the distraction. Elizabeth leaned forward, her chin in her palm as she talked to him. His smile cut, but hers is warm, welcoming as could be.]

Ah, of course. Well, this is no claim. Or rather, my claim is a true one. I have ruled for ten years now. [Look at him, proud as any lion.]

Your name truly is Greed? Well then, I shall call such. [curisoity, it's a dangerous thing and her head tilts a little, thinking on her question.] And are you? Greedy that is.

[She ducks her head, looking away to smile a little wider. Her mirth is genuine, if subtle. She after all, was never meant to be very expressive. Never would be. Bottles it all until it bursts out in fiery displays of love and hate.] I'll commend you for that, sir. I'd much rather laugh than sorrow.

[From one interested party to another, it seems the Queen has all of his attention for the moment. But he slows his strides, walks with a practiced heel-toe motion that gives those clicking boots a bit more of a punctuation.] Have you now? Ah - well, the pleasure is still all mine, lovely.

[Smiles are wicked and fierce as he laughs; a barking sort of sound that quakes from the depth of his vicious, naked, and primal core.] Don't have any other - just Greed.

[But the question makes him pause briefly in mid stride; foot kicked up, heel dug into the earth.]

[And the Queen just dropped the metaphorical atomic bomb.]

[Because Greed's shoulders go forward and his hands spread about his face; without the 'Shield, they make due mocking talons.] I want everything you could possibly think of - [So maybe that promise to hold back on the rant has gone out the window, because that fever is rising, the temples are pounding, and he's just ready to blow.] - money, women. Sex, status, glory-! [Wrap around fingers twist on the axis of his palm and ( ... )

Careful, sir, flattery will only get you so far. I am a woman used to being adored. You might have to be a bit more creative with it. [She was after all, a hard woman to impress.]

Just Greed. Stripped bare down, are you? [She shouldn't be being so free with her words, so inviting and teasing of him, but this is making her smile, truer than she has since after Christmas, and she likes it. Likes the way he laughs like he owns the world, likes the way he smiles as if he wants it to cut.]

[And his words, oh she knows it. Not herself, at least not often, but she knows that feeling. To have and to hold and the desire that runs so deeply to have it all. But she does have it all. Perhaps that is why it does not burn so bright as it once did. If it ever did. When she was young and did not know what it truly meant to rule.] I hope one day you have it. But until then, you are welcome to enjoy my company. As far as keeping company with a Queen pleases you.

[there is a polite nod, stately really. At least before she gives him a brief smile.] I ( ... )

That so - [Spoken with the words of a sing-song voice and a sultry tone. One that drips and purrs in his throat. Because if flattery is what the lady desires, well.] - been doing this for two-hundred years or so. What is it you're looking for, lovely? [And hooded eyes trail her as shades fall. And eyes, the color of purple, drink her in, swallow her whole. Slits split the centers; thin needles of black against the eerie color.]

[For a second, they pulse. Expand and retract with a snap before Greed extends a finger in a cool motion, index-pad finding the bridge connecting the panes of glass.]

[His strides turn to long extensions of his legs; a slight sway to his hips, the motion of his torso moving like the slithering of Hell's most well-kept serpent. It's like all the muscle is moving with some intention.]

[And perhaps it is.] You got it - glad to see you understand.

[There's a promise there; a bunch of them. The hope of him having everything, the offer of company. And what absolutely rich company it would be. Never mind the royal ( ... )

[Pride and challenge, and it lifts her just so. Lets her shoulders roll back in a way that is inviting -- all that warm open skin at the throat. She is a vulnerable, she is a woman and a queen -- and men die for her. She lifts her finger and they fall to their knees. She is power that takes human flesh and breathes. She dresses more conservatively, it's true, but then no woman she knows holds as much command as she does. So the way he seems to taken her in so deeply means she only wants to rise again higher. To be more and to have more. Makes her slowly bite her lip and drag her teeth before she speaks.] Something I haven't seen before. So many come before me with gold and jewels, and how boring that becomes. I wish for the things that cannot be taken so easily. Else why should I be impressed? [And she is to be impressed, not impress others. Not when it came to her pleasures.]

I'm clever, or so they say. [But she'll mind those words, mind them well because there was a lot there to be said and not all of it was so easily spoken of she ( ... )

[A challenge indeed.]

[The bite of the lip, the coy run of teeth at that pompous exposure of flesh and Greed's eyes fall heavy behind his shades. Crude-cut smile follows suit and all his razors flash brightly: "C'mere lovely and show me your teeth."]

[But he says not a word for a moment. Drinks in what she says with a silent roll of the shoulders, a cant of his head to expose his own throat to her. It's like courtship of the most devilish nature; the proverbial tug of war and teasing before the last call.] Something you haven't seen before? Well, lovely. As much as I'd like to show you, it looks like this place has me at a disadvantage for the time being. [Meaning he plans - no he will - take everything back that's been stolen.]

[But first thing's first.]

[Greed extends a finger to the sky before snapping it in her direction.] Seem awful busy - sure you can afford the spare time? [Because he wouldn't want to bother the lady if she's too wrapped up in her own. Though it seems, even the Queen's able to spare a little time for a ( ... )

Ah, it will do that. But give it a few weeks, you'll be back to yourself. It happens as smooth as clockwork. [It was as little consolation as she could offer for the moment, her smile so briefly apologetic. Sadly there was little she could do about it.]

But then I am sure you can surprise me. I'll look forward to it, I promise it. [That she could. Anything that was a distraction as much as he was. To hell with them all. She could do what she liked. And she happened to like very much.]

Of course I can. Here let me... [she sent that address of her palace through the phone. That still seemed to odd to her. Addresses, for palaces. Everyone should just know where they are. But then Palaces were different now apparently.] It will be hard to miss, it's in the Venetian District.

Occupied? Only with pleasant company I now find myself in. Which I am more than happy to extend for as long as you wish.

[Ping sounds off like a pin dropped and for a second, the homunculus pulls away from the feed. Makes a noise in the back of his throat akin to a purr before snapping back into view.]

Oh, I'm sure I could. But first thing's first - [He throws two fingers in the air, gives the curtest of waves in her direction.]

- see you soon, lovely.

[And there's a sounding click; the audible sound of the feed sputtering to black.]

[So maybe he's a little later than expected; an hour had him wandering through his new abode, examining this and that before finally making his way to the Venetian District. And no, perhaps the directions weren't exactly necessary.]

[Because a palace is a sure fire way to get attention.]

[At the foot hills, just outside the gates and the doors, is the devil himself. Well, not in the biblical sense. The incarnation of Sin; the walking, talking spring of desire. The homunculus seems birthed from the shadows that encase him. Smooth over his features to sharpen them even more. He dips low, boot kicked out by a heel that hovers there. And he whistles to himself, jerks his head up as he takes it all in.]

[Because it's a lot.]

[And she's promised him everything - company, wine, the works. Definitely a woman worth knowing and the Sin has no qualms giving her everything she wants in return. After all, as he said: "Who am I to deny anyone what they want?"[Hands slide back, smooth over the leather slacks that seem to cling to his thighs ( ... )

[Good byes said, she doesn't mind how much time he takes, she's easily able to amuse herself and take him at his word that he'll appear when and as he likes.

Half into her work, drink in hand she answers sort of distractedly for a moment.] Hmm? Oh no. Not at all -- [she puts the cup down, straightens out her papers. Ignoring the ink that splattered over her fingers. She still preferred them for all official work, as it were. Touch nib to ink herself, rather than normal pens as they had them.] I'll be down in a minute. [she clicks her fingers to something off screen, before it turns off ( ... )

[A dip inside and Greed's pushing that communicator into a back pocket before hooking thumbs into the belt-loops of his pants. He takes a moment - however brief - to swirl a head inside. A gander at everything and anything she has to offer.]

[And, as promised, it is grand.]

[Another whistle escapes him.] That's something - ! [He says, before turning eyes and attention forward. He isn't here for the mansion, no. And while it's nice and a gem to look at, his avarice is interested in something a little more.]

[But he does give pause; because all that glitters is gold and that ring catches his eyes. Shimmers and swirls in too-black sunglasses. He's very aware of what that means - of what the human lot call marriage. And he's not the type; could never understand that kind of commitment.] Just Greed, remember? [A beat of a wait before he casts one foot in.]

[And now the devil is in the house of saints and nothing could be more wrong.]

[But Greed intends no harm - not to her or anyone else. He pads forward and his heels sound off like ( ... )

[Her smile grows, eyes bright with some kind of mischief.] Ah. But are you not master of your own desire? [she hummed, briefly. Something soft and light, regarding him in person. Such a presence he had. Such little care. She only saw the like on sailors.] Or perhaps your desire masters you?

A palace is a palace is a palace. I have thirty of them, in England. I have my childhood one here. Nor is it alone. There is the Villa de Auditore, for one, it is very splendid. But there -- so comes the arrogance of nobles, and royals above that. What we call normal, is not truly normal to anyone else I've found.

Ah -- [when he takes her hand, there is the slightest of curtsies, before she rises again and he released her. His comment though, makes her hand flinch up, her long fingers curl in. She thinks, for a moment, he knows of Gabriel. Of that whole situation. But then she takes a deeper breath and forces herself to reason. No. He's looking at her ring and that is a misunderstanding she has gotten used to. She uncurled it again, drawing it ( ... )
