[Ezio chuckles softly at her demand, but shakes his head slightly.]

I am afraid the firearms that are used today are a little beyond my expertise, but I am sure someone will be able to help, Regina Gloriana. [A little smile comes.] You have a beautiful singing voice, signora.

To be fair, I would take instruction in anything. I've strength enough I think. [or strength enough to wield a smaller blade. But her smile is wide and gracious at the compliment.] Thank you, mio signore. It has been awhile since I sung, I must admit. So I am glad it is still pleasing.

[alltenfingers]

Then I could teach you swordplay, but I do not think you should lower yourself to brawling with lesser men. [He nods lightly to her gratitude at his compliment.] It is. You did seem to be missing a dance partner, however.

Never mind lowering myself, I simply say I do not have the strength for such... but swordplay suits me fine. [she laughs quietly.] I am always lacking for dance partners, I think I will have to become accustomed to it. I went from having my pick of men to dance with to those that could barely learn two steps side ways without becoming confused. It's a wretched state I find myself in.

[alltenfingers]

Then I will teach you, if you wish it. [he smirks a little, laughing lightly.] It seems that the art of dance has been long lost in some places, but if you find yourself in need of a partner, I can try to keep up.

I would like that very much. [It really does. Now that she doesn't have the expectations to home, she could learn that which princes always learned. It pleased her greatly.] It has, which saddens me greatly. But I would be happy to have you as a partner, if you can spare yourself some time.

[alltenfingers]

It would be my honour, Your Majesty. It probably seems hard to believe, but I was noble born, so my mother made sure I could dance well, despite my protests.

Mothers do like to make sure of such things, so I shall have to thank your mother. But I am hardly surprised at your nobility, you speak far too nicely, and your bows are too correct.

[alltenfingers]

I suppose that is so, but I have spent a lot of time around royalty. Nobility or not, you learn to behave properly around most of them. Unless, of course, they are more badly behaved than you are.

[risegloriana]

They are? Aren't they? [she shakes her head] I find it strange, people here think we're all perfectly behaved all the time. If you have dealt with us, signore, you know well how we are. Even the good ones. But they think... we're not the mostly highly strung people they've ever met, with tempers that most often can end monstrously when we desire it. [she shrugs, because apparently that is what they really think of her most of the time.]

[alltenfingers]

Ah, si, but what I have learned about royalty is that they are not that different from everyone else. They have desires, wishes, tempers, and simply the power to act on these things. Of course, most are more charming because of that. [He smirks lightly.]

That I think is the most accurate summary I have heard. [she laughs softly.] Oh well, I hope some of them are.
