[It's December-- early December but still December-- so Darcy is in full-on holiday mode. She's made a list of presents to get for her friends, those closest to her

[There's a reason the bots tend to stay home in California during the winter. They and cold really don't get along too well.
So it's no surprise to see The Spine bundled in a long dark coat, a thicker set of gloves on his hands and a scarf around his neck. It wasn't his coat with the bright red lining, but it had been easy enough to alter so the ends of the spine jutting up his back had room. He could just stay home where it was warm, but he did like the holidays, and was curious to see what they were like in Mandalus. When he spotted Darcy, packages and bags in hand, he gave her a smile, lifting a hand to tip his hat.]
[Darcy gives The Spine a bright smile when she sees him approaching. Tall. He is a tall, tall robot.
He is...really shiny. He and Rabbit look so different. Of course, there were a few years age difference between Rabbit and The Spine.] Well, howdy, The Spine. How are you enjoying your time in our fair city so far?
And that charming voice would make you Miss Darcy. [He greeted with a widening of his smile.] It's an eventful place, I'll give it that. Keeps me on my toes so much it almost makes it feel like home.
Would you like me to carry some of that for you? [Because he is nothing if not a gentleman to the core.]
Why, yes, it would. [Darcy lifts her hand, working the handles of the bags onto her wrists so she can shake his hand properly.] Is it very exciting at home? House full of robots?
[She laughs at his offer. Well, not at his offer. But the fact that he offered.] You know, for as different as you and Rabbit look, you're similar in several ways. Aside from the robot thing. He helped me carry my bags a couple weeks back.
[He shakes the offered hand, mindful not to grip too tightly before releasing it.] Well it's a pleasure to meet you face to face.
It gets really exciting when one of them has a void in him that he can pull stuff through. Never know if you're gonna wake up one day to inverted gravity or no gravity in the house at all, or some other strange and improbable occurrence.
[At her reaction to his offer, he quirked a brow, amusement in his expression.] Well, we were brought up to be polite. Pappy put a lot of stock in being gentlemanly.
It is. [Darcy nods in agreement. Her eyes widen.] A void? No gravity? I would have just thought...spare parts laying around. Maybe an abundance of oil cans.
That's good that you guys are gentlemanly. And who am I to say yes to one robot and no to another? [Darcy carefully shifts the handles and passes almost 3/4ths of her bags over to The Spine.]
[Darcy's just quiet for a long moment then she laughs, shaking her head.] Freaking weird.
[She accepts his free arm with a giggle.] Residential district. [She rattles off her address.] I'll have to stop and regroup before I go grocery shopping. Maybe let Vader out and warm up a little before I take on that quest.
[He nods at the address, happy to escort her home.] The armchair thing happened often. Rabbit was burning that thing multiple times a day and it would just keep cropping up like a bad penny...
It kept trying to eat people, but I kinda suspect it was looking for attention.
If you want I can keep you company on your trip out again? [It was getting a little later, he didn't want her to have to walk home after dark alone if he could help it. Old habits die hard.] Vader your dog?
The chair, which was burned multiple times and trying to eat people, was just looking for attention? [Darcy chuckles.] There are betters ways to try and get attention.
I wouldn't mind that at all. [Darcy grins then nods at his second question.] Yeah. He's a teacup Yorkie. Cutest damn dog you'll ever see.

[He takes the bags easily on one arm, and once they're settled, offers her his free arm.] So where to then Miss Darcy?
