[ If anyone had ever asked Desmond, he hadn't planned on Sam actually calling on the Brotherhood for some help. He figured the guy was pretty low-key and wouldn't need anyone really... taken care of. Then again, the Brotherhood did do more than just go after targets. Maybe he needed something done that took the skills of an assassin. Either way, ( Read more... )

[ Contrary to popular belief, Sam does venture out of the arcade. He may live in the building but there are times where he needs to leave it. Things like grocery shopping, getting that rare load of laundry done, sneaking into heavily guarded official buildings at hours late into the night. You know, the normal stuff.

Normally this was something he would have done on his own. Sam had lost count of how many times he had snuck into ENCOM. And hacking into their systems was hardly a challenge. But the plan he had been working on for months now in Mandalus wasn't going to be as easy. It was going to take more than one guy too. By the time he has pocketing the key to the arcade he heard approaching footsteps and looked up ]

Hey! Thanks for coming, Desmond.

[ Yeah, yeah. Desmond doesn't believe it until he sees it.

He gives a shrug. It's no big deal for him. The Brotherhood helps its allies and they get help in return. It's a partnership of sorts. Besides, they may as well stick together. They're all in the war together. ]

No problem. [ He glances around. ] Not sure what help I can be running an arcade. I'm pretty sure it's different from running a bar.

[ With a grin on his face he pulled open the door and stepped aside, waving the other to head on inside. ]

This is more than just running an arcade. You'll see.

[ And as soon as Desmond does go into the building, Sam follows and pauses long enough to close the door behind both of them before turning on the power. Without paying any mind to the games now coming to life, their music filling the room, he makes his way past them, walking the length of the arcade without a word. Accompanying the loud sounds and tunes of the video games was the blasting music of the jukebox -- the tunes of the late 80s always make for the greatest of mash-ups.

But Sam was focused on one thing and one thing only. At the far end of the building, the name of the game displayed vibrantly above the machine, was TRON. Sam, coming to a stop in front of it, rested a hand on the console and looked to Desmond. ]

I can trust you not to breath a word of this to anyone, right?

[ And, being trained in follow-the-target missions followed him inside with a nod. Desmond took a glance around the arcade. It had been cleaned up since the last time he visited. Sam had been putting everything into it...and the old school music? Desmond would need to get him some newer hits. ]

We're pretty good at keeping secrets. [ Desmond cracked him a grin. After all, Sam had no idea what Desmond actually did until Ezio told him. ]
